Holy Paladin PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets — The War Within (11.2)

The stat priority for Holy Paladin in PvP is as follows:

1. Intellect;
2. Versatility;
3. Mastery;
4. Haste;
5. Critical Strike.

Intellect is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the next best stat as it will increase the damage/healing you do and reduce the damage you take. This is followed up with Master. Holy Paladin Mastery ( Mastery: Lightbringer), when used with the Beacon of the Lightbringer Talent, is crucial for Holy Paladins in PvP.

In general, Holy Paladins want to get trinkets that line up well with Avenging Crusader or Avenging Wrath. These trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. The stats you want to increase are either Intellect or Versatility. You want to increase Versatility because it increases both your damage and healing. Intellect is great for increasing your overall healing output.

Note: It is essential to be wearing 2 PvP trinkets. This will give you a Stamina and stat boost that will increase your survivability.

As noted above, acquiring both your 2-set and 4-set bonus is crucial. It is important to note that ALL tier sets are nerfed to 33% effectiveness in PvP. Although this nerf is significant, tier sets are still important to acquire to maximize your chances of winning. In Patch 11.2, there are different tier sets for each different hero talent for each specialization. Below are the different tier sets for Holy Paladin.

• 2-set: Hammer and Anvil's healing is increased by 15% and it can also be activated by Crusader Strike at 75% effectiveness.
• 4-set: Hammer and Anvil also grants a stack of Masterwork, causing your next Holy Armaments to cast one Lesser version of itself on a nearby ally for each stack.

This is an incredibly strong tier set for Holy Paladin and is the recommended hero talent to play.

• 2-set: Dawnlight's healing and damage is increased by 60% and you gain Solar Wrath after Avenging Wrath fades causing Sun's Avatar's effect to linger for an additional 5 seconds.
• 4-set: Solar Wrath increases the effectiveness of your Holy Power spenders by 30% and grants you Dawnlight.

This is another great tier set for Holy Paladin, but the overall hero talent tree is not as strong as Lightsmith's.

Embellishments are bonuses that can be put on crafted gear. These effects can have a drastic impact on the game. You are only allowed to have 2 Embellishments equipped at the same time. Here are the recommended Embellishments for Holy Paladins:

• Energy Redistribution Beacon. While above 80% health, your direct healing will redistribute up to 2% of your health to your target. This is great for increasing your overall healing output. Because this affect does stack, it is recommended to use 2 of them.
• Duskthread Lining. This Embellishment significantly increases your Versatility when you are above 80% health.
