Mistweaver Monk PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets — The War Within (11.2)
Choosing your gear carefully is important for your Mistweaver Monk in PvP. We give you a stat priority to help you choose items with the right stats, followed by advice on how to choose the rest of your gear and your trinkets.
This page is part of our Mistweaver Monk PvP Guide.
Stat Priority for Mistweaver Monks in PvP
The stat priority for Mistweaver Monk in PvP is as follows:
- Intellect;
- Haste;
- Versatility;
- Mastery;
- Critical Strike.
Intellect is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the most
important secondary stat as it increases the healing you do and reduces the
damage you take. Haste is the next important secondary stat, as this increases the tick rate of your important HoTs ( Enveloping Mist/
Renewing Mist). This will help keep your team alive when you get stuck in crowd control.
Mistweaver Monk Gear in PvP
In general, Mistweaver Monks want to get trinkets that increase their overall healing output. These trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. The stat you want to be increasing is Versatility. The reason you want to increase Versatility is because it increases both your damage and healing and reduces the damage you take. For gear, you want anything that has Versatility and Haste on it. This will increase your overall healing output and your survivability. Here is the best gear we recommend you use as a Mistweaver Monk.

Astral Gladiator's Leather Mask
- Neck:
Algari Competitor's Amulet - Crafted with Haste & Versatility

- Trinket 1:

- Trinket 2:

- 2H Staff:

Note: It is essential to be wearing two PvP trinkets. This will give you a Stamina and stat boost that will increase your survivability.
Mistweaver Monk Tier Set
As noted above, acquiring both your 2-set and 4-set bonus is crucial. It is important to note that ALL tier sets are nerfed to 33% effectiveness in PvP. Although this nerf is significant, tier sets are still important to acquire to maximize your chances to win. For Mistweaver Monks, this is your tier set:
Master of Harmony Tier Set
- 2-set: Gaining vitality has an increasing chance to cause your next
Tiger Palm to unleash a
Harmonic Surge, dealing Nature damage split between your target and other nearby enemies, and healing to up to 5 injured allies
- 4-set: Casting
Thunder Focus Tea guarantees that your next 2 cast of
Tiger Palm will trigger a
Harmonic Surge.
This tier set is not recommended and you should not be used in PvP.
Conduit of the Celestials Tier Set
- 2-set:
Heart of the Jade Serpent additionally triggers for 8 sec at 75% effectiveness after you cast
Thunder Focus Tea.
- 4-set:
Heart of the Jade Serpent increases your haste by 8% while active and for 4 sec afterwards.
This tier set is recommended to use when playing the Crackle build and only requires the 2-set. The 4-set is not impactful enough to use it for this build.
Mistweaver Monk Embellishments
Embellishments are bonuses that can be put on crafted gear. These effects can have a drastic impact on the game. You are only allowed to have two Embellishments equipped at the same time. Here are the recommended embellishments for Mistweaver Monk:
Energy Redistribution Beacon. While above 80% health, your direct healing will redistribute up to 2% of your health to your target. This is great for increasing your overall healing output.
Duskthread Lining. This Embellishment significantly increases your Versatility when you are above 80% health.
Gems and Enchants
Here are the best enchants for a Mistweaver Monk:
- Cloak:
Enchant Cloak - Chant of Leeching Fangs
- Chest:
Enchant Chest - Council's Intellect
- Bracers:
Enchant Bracer - Chant of Armored Speed
- Legs:
Daybreak Spellthread
- Boots:
Enchant Boots - Scout's March
- Rings:
Enchant Ring - Cursed Versatility
- Weapon:
Enchant Weapon - Stonebound Artistry
Versatile Onyx is the best gem you can use. You also get access to 1 Meta Gem. You should use
Cognitive Bloodstone for the meta slot.
