Mistweaver Monk PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets — 12.0.5
Choosing your gear carefully is important for your Mistweaver Monk in PvP. We give you a stat priority to help you choose items with the right stats, followed by advice on how to choose the rest of your gear and your trinkets.
This page is part of our Mistweaver Monk PvP Guide.
Stat Priority for Mistweaver Monks in PvP
The stat priority for Mistweaver Monk in PvP is as follows:
- Intellect
- Haste
- Versatility
- Mastery
- Critical Strike
Intellect is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the most
important secondary stat as it increases the healing you do and reduces the
damage you take. Haste is the next important secondary stat, as this increases
the tick rate of your important HoTs (
Enveloping Mist/
Renewing Mist). This will help keep your team alive when you get stuck
in crowd control.
Mistweaver Monk Gear in PvP
In general, Mistweaver Monks want to get trinkets that increase their overall healing output. These trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. The stat you want to be increasing is Versatility. The reason you want to increase Versatility is because it increases both your damage and healing and reduces the damage you take. For gear, you want anything that has Versatility and Haste on it. This will increase your overall healing output and your survivability. Here is the best gear we recommend you use as a Mistweaver Monk.

Note: It is essential to be wearing two PvP trinkets. This will give you a Stamina and stat boost that will increase your survivability.
Mistweaver Monk Tier Set
As noted above, acquiring both your 2-set and 4-set bonus is crucial. It is important to note that ALL tier sets are nerfed to 33% effectiveness in PvP. Although this nerf is significant, tier sets are still important to acquire to maximize your chances to win. For Mistweaver Monks, this is your tier set:
- 2-set:
Renewing Mist healing increased by 20%. - 4-set: Casting
Thunder Focus Tea applies
Renewing Mist
onto a nearby ally.
In general, it is recommended to get both 2-set and 4-set for Mistweaver Monk.
Mistweaver Monk Embellishments
Embellishments are bonuses that can be put on crafted gear. These affects can have a drastic impact on the game. You are only allowed to have 2 Embellishments equipped at the same time. Here are the recommended Embellishments for Mistweaver Monk:
Blessed Pango Charm gives your healing spells a chance to grant
Versatility to your target. This is great for increasing the survivability
of your team. Craft this on both rings or a ring and a neck.
Gems and Enchants
Here are the best enchants for a Mistweaver Monk:
- Helmet:
Enchant Helm - Blessing of Speed - Shoulder:
Enchant Shoulders - Akil'zon's Swiftness - Chest:
Enchant Chest - Mark of the Magister - Legs:
Arcanoweave Spellthread - Boots:
Enchant Boots - Farstrider's Hunt - Rings:
