Stat Priority for Restoration Shaman in PvP
The stat priority for Restoration Shaman in PvP is as follows:
- Intellect
- Versatility
- Mastery
- Haste
- Critical Strike
Intellect is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the
strongest secondary stat at all times due to it reducing the damage you take
and increasing your healing output. You also want to focus on getting Mastery.
This increases the effectiveness of your
Mastery: Deep Healing.
Mastery is very important for healing throughput, after focusing on Versatility.

Note: It is essential that you wear two PvP trinkets. This will give you a Stamina and stat boost that will in turn increase your survivability.
Restoration Shaman Tier Sets
As noted above, acquiring both your 2-set and 4-set bonus is crucial. It is important to note that ALL tier sets are nerfed effectiveness in PvP. Although this nerf is significant, tier sets are still important to acquire to maximize your chances to win. For Restoration Shamans, this is your tier set:
- 2-set:
Unleash Life's cooldown is reduced by 3.0 seconds and its direct
healing is increased by 100%. - 4-set:
Unleash Life affects an additional spell cast at 100% effectiveness.
Restoration Shaman Embellishments
Embellishments are bonuses that can be put on crafted gear. These effects can have a drastic impact on the game. You are only allowed to have two Embellishments equipped at the same time. Here are the recommended Embellishments for Restoration Shaman:
Sunfire Silk Lining. This Embellishment causes your spells can increase
Intellect by 4 for 10 seconds, stacking up to 10 times.
Arcanoweave Lining. This Embellishment increases the Shaman and healing
target's primary stat.
