This section covers your character's optimal gems, enchants, food, and flasks. To get a more detailed rundown of the different stats for Destruction Warlock, please visit the following dedicated Stats page.
Best Gems for Destruction Warlock in Midnight
Socketable gems are divided in two categories: Epic and Rare. The former offer a powerful effect but is limited to 1 equipped, whereas the latter includes single or two secondaries stats combination gems.
Gems can be applied to a Helm, Bracer, or Belt via the
Radiant Jewelbinder item from the Great Vault.
The Dazzling Diamond Epic gems of choice
are
Indecipherable Eversong Diamond
or
Powerful Eversong Diamond. The damage difference is not as
pronounced and depending on your personal stat distribution and item level
one may be better than the other.
In terms of itemization, and due to the low amount of stats offered by gems in general, the strategy is to gem with less important stats to round up the character, so combinations with Versatility and another secondary stat are usually preferred.
The gems that most often come up in BiS setups are the following:
- Peridots:
Flawless Deadly Peridot and
Flawless Versatile Peridot - Lapis:
Flawless Deadly Lapis and
Flawless Masterful Lapis - Amethysts:
Flawless Deadly Amethyst and
Flawless Quick Amethyst - Garnets:
Flawless Masterful Garnet
It is highly recommended using Raidbots to sim your character's ideal gems and enchants, as they might differ from general recommendations.
Make sure to enable the checkboxes with "Always use" and "Only 4+ Colors" in the options.

Weapon Enchant Choice
Secondary stat weapon enchants may provide better value
than
Enchant Weapon - Acuity of the Ren'dorei but which one is best for you
heavily depends on the rest of your gear. As such, depending on your current stat
distribution, you may want to sim yourself as your best secondary stat enchant
may differ from the one listed above.
Best Midnight Consumables for Destruction Warlock
Flasks
For Season 1,
Flask of the Magisters is the default choice.
Potions
The numerically best potion is
Draught of Rampant Abandon which comes
with a substantial drawback of spawning a silencing pool under the caster
after the end of the duration.
The less dangerous alternative around 10% worse but with no drawbacks
is
Light's Potential.
Silvermoon Health Potion is the healing potion of choice.
Food
Each player stat distribution will dictate what is their optimal Feast or Master level food. This includes any of the 65 highest secondary or 50 primary stat food buffs. Below are some examples:
Blooming Feast - Feast
Silvermoon Parade - Feast
Champion's Bento - Personal
Royal Roast - Personal
Hearty version of food should be considered on situations where wiping/dying is rather frequent as those persists on death.
While they do not work in instanced content, teas are another form of consumable that offer 50 Speed buff, or close to 4% extra movement speed. Pick whichever is the cheapest at any given time from the list below:
Sanguithorn Tea
Azeroot Tea
Argentleaf Tea
Weapon Runes
Use
Thalassian Phoenix Oil as weapon oil.
Augment Runes
Void-Touched Augment Rune provide around 1% dps increase and
should be evaluated during progress, especially when close to pivotal
kills.
