Discipline Priest PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets — Midnight Season 1
Choosing your gear carefully is important for your Discipline Priest in PvP. We give you a stat priority to help you choose items with the right stats, followed by advice on how to choose the rest of your gear and your trinkets.
This page is part of our Discipline Priest PvP Guide.
Stat Priority for Discipline Priests in PvP
The stat priority for Discipline Priests in PvP is as follows:
- Intellect
- Versatility
- Mastery
- Haste
- Critical Strike
Intellect is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the strongest
secondary stat at all times due to it increasing your damage and healing done
and reducing your damage taken. Mastery is a flat healing increase to every target with
Atonement.
Haste is also an amazing stat as it reduces your global cooldown, increases your cast and channel
speed, and increases the tick rate of your DoT spells.
Note: If you plan on playing the more damage-focused build with Voidweaver Hero talents, you want to focus on Versatility & Haste as your primary stats.
Gear Recommendations
Oracle Gear Recommendations
In general, Discipline Priests want to get trinkets that
increase their overall healing output. These trinkets can have a passive or
on-use effect. The stat you want to be increasing is Versatility and either
Mastery or Haste, with
Voidweaver wanting Haste, and
Oracle preferring
Mastery instead.
You want to use PvP items as much as possible, since they have increased item level in PvP combat. This is what your final gear should look like, including set pieces and crafted items:
