Crucible of Storms Boss Tips for Protection Warriors

On this page, you will find Protection Warrior specific information pertaining to each boss in the Crucible of Storms raid.

Additionally, this page assumes you are familiar with the mechanics on each fight. The basics of the tank mechanics are not explained, but rather advice is given on how Protection Warriors can best deal with those mechanics.

Talent Cheatsheet

The Restless Cabal

Make sure to have Shield Block Icon Shield Block up for Shear Mind Icon Shear Mind, as it is blockable.

Use Shockwave Icon Shockwave/Stormbolt to help stun and interrupt the Eldritch Abominations; this applies particularly to Storm Bolt, since it can be used at range, allowing you to keep unnecessary boss movement to a minimum.

Make sure to use defensive cooldowns during Umbral Shell Icon Umbral Shell, as healing received is reduced by 100%.

If you are soaking a Void Crash Icon Void Crash, use Spell Reflection Icon Spell Reflection to reduce the damage you take from it.

Uu'nat, Harbinger of the Void

A combination of Heroic Leap Icon Heroic Leap and Intercept Icon Intercept can help make the tank swap much more quick and avoid unnecessary issues.

The fear from Unknowable Terror Icon Unknowable Terror is preventable with Berserker Rage Icon Berserker Rage. You will still take a large amount of Shadow damage regardless, so only use Berserker Rage on the fear if absolutely necessary.

Use Shockwave Icon Shockwave as an AoE interrupt for the Primordial Mindbender casts in Phase 2. Intimidating Shout Icon Intimidating Shout can also be used to help interrupt as well.
