1.

Best Gems for Protection Warriors

You should aim to use gems that provide you with Haste, as that is our most valued secondary stat. The list below consists of gems that are all very good for Protection Warriors.

To better understand the suggestion above, you can take a look at our Stats page. This will explain every stat in-depth so you can get a better understanding of why these specific ones are the best for Protection Warriors.

Extra Consumables

In addition Enchants mentioned above, we can also use Weapon Oils, flasks and potions which enhance our abilities even further. These are not permanent and need to be re-applied after an hour or two, so be sure to get multiple.

3.1.

Best Flask for Protection Warrior

Flask of the Shattered Sun Icon Flask of the Shattered Sun and Flask of the Blood Knights Icon Flask of the Blood Knights are both excellent choices. Which exact one is best for you depends on your current stat distribution. Simming yourself is the best way to help you determine which Flask should you use.

3.2.

Potions, Food, and Weapon Buffs

Light's Potential Icon Light's Potential and Potion of Recklessness Icon Potion of Recklessness are your two best options. As with Flasks, the best one for you is dependent on your current stats and item level. Best bet is to sim yourself.

Draught of Rampant Abandon? Draught of Rampant Abandon Icon Draught of Rampant Abandon actually provides more main stat to you than Light's Potential Icon Light's Potential. That said, it comes with a downside of also summoning void zones under your feet. These zones will silence you when you stand in them. As such, Light's Potential Icon Light's Potential will be the more consistent potion, but Draught of Rampant Abandon Icon Draught of Rampant Abandon is theoretically better if you can avoid the void zones.

Silvermoon Health Potion Icon Silvermoon Health Potion should be used as the healing potion in combat.

Thalassian Phoenix Oil Icon Thalassian Phoenix Oil should be your default weapon Oil as it provides us with 2 of our favourite stats.

Harandar Celebration Icon Harandar Celebration or Blooming Feast Icon Blooming Feast should be used as your food when available. Champion's Bento Icon Champion's Bento and Royal Roast Icon Royal Roast are your two alternative food buffs. Similarly to potions and flasks, the best one depends on your current stat distribution. Generally speaking, you will not go wrong with either of them.

Azeroot Tea Icon Azeroot Tea and Sanguithorn Tea Icon Sanguithorn Tea both provide a small Speed buff, slightly increasing your movement speed. This buff is not mandatory by any means, but if you do obtain them, you might as well use them.

3.3.

Augmentation Rune

Void-Touched Augment Rune Icon Void-Touched Augment Rune provides you with a temporary primary stat buff that lasts for an hour, or until you die. While expensive, they do add to your damage output and as such, should be used if gold is not a issue.
