The Titan Research Archive is used to research traits that will enhance your abilities inside the Visions of N'Zoth, gradually making your progression through them easier. This page contains priority lists for both solo and group play, so that you do not delay your progression by taking the wrong traits.

1.

Foreword

The recommendations and information contained in this page is based on PTR testing — we will review and update the advice given here once the patch is live and ensure that it is kept up-to-date based on any changes made.

If you are looking for more information on Horrific Visions in general, you can find that, along with dedicated guides for each aspect, in our hub below.

Titan Research Archive

The Titan Research Archive allows players to research traits that will increase their survivability, damage, and slow the rate at which their sanity drains in the Visions of N'Zoth.

To research through the trait tree, players will need to collect Corrupted Mementos Icon Corrupted Mementos. To unlock the next "tier", you will need to fully research one of the nodes of the previous tier. This means that, to unlock the Elite Extermination Icon Elite Extermination trait, you will first need to have either fully researched Singular Sanitation Expertise Icon Singular Sanitation Expertise or Expansive Mind Icon Expansive Mind. You do not have to research the follow-up traits, you only need to have fully completed a single node on that tier.

Titan Research Archive Priority

There is a strict priority to how you research through the traits available for Horrific Visions and, should you take them in the wrong order, it will slow you down somewhat (especially if you do not aim to get the final trait as soon as possible).

The main order for most players is as follows:

  1. Orb Operation Manual Icon Orb Operation Manual
  2. Singular Sanitation Expertise Icon Singular Sanitation Expertise (3 points)
  3. Clear Sight Icon Clear Sight (3 points)
  4. Elite Extermination Icon Elite Extermination
  5. Experimental Destabilization Icon Experimental Destabilization (3 points)
  6. Gift of the Titans Icon Gift of the Titans
  7. Emergency Cranial Defibrillation Icon Emergency Cranial Defibrillation
  8. Expansive Mind Icon Expansive Mind (3 points)
  9. Vision Hunter Icon Vision Hunter (3 points)
  10. Synchronized Mind Stabilizer Icon Synchronized Mind Stabilizer

If you regularly play in groups (more often than you do alone), then your priority changes slightly, as shown below:

  1. Orb Operation Manual Icon Orb Operation Manual
  2. Singular Sanitation Expertise Icon Singular Sanitation Expertise (3 points)
  3. Clear Sight Icon Clear Sight (3 points)
  4. Elite Extermination Icon Elite Extermination
  5. Experimental Destabilization Icon Experimental Destabilization (3 points)
  6. Gift of the Titans Icon Gift of the Titans
  7. Expansive Mind Icon Expansive Mind (3 points)
  8. Emergency Cranial Defibrillation Icon Emergency Cranial Defibrillation
  9. Synchronized Mind Stabilizer Icon Synchronized Mind Stabilizer
  10. Vision Hunter Icon Vision Hunter (3 points)
