Preservation Evoker PvP Stat Priority, Gear, and Trinkets — The War Within (11.2)

The stat priority for Preservation Evokers in PvP is as follows:

1. Intellect;
2. Versatility;
3. Haste;
4. Mastery;
5. Critical Strike.

Intellect is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the most important secondary stat as it increases the healing you do and reduces the damage you take. Haste is your next best stat is this will make your HoTs (healing over time) spells much stronger and give you faster globals to heal and deal damage.

In general, Preservation Evokers want to get trinkets that increase their overall healing output. These trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. The stat you want to be increasing is Versatility. The reason you want to increase Versatility is because it increases both your damage and healing and reduces the damage you take. For gear, you want anything that has Versatility and Haste on it. This will increase your overall damage output and your survivability. As noted above, acquiring both your 2-set and 4-set bonus is crucial. It is important to note that ALL tier sets are nerfed to 33% effectiveness in PvP. Although this nerf is significant, tier sets are still important to acquire to maximize your chances of winning. In Patch 11.2, there are different tier sets for each different hero talent for each specialization. Below are the different tier sets for Preservation Evoker.

• 2-set: Tip the Scales cooldown is reduced by 60 sec.
• 4-set: Temporal Burst causes Chrono Flames to strike 2 additional target and repeat 15% additional damage or healing, and increases Essence ability damage and healing by 30%.

• 2-set: Engulf stokes your Inner Flame, increasing your damage and healing over time by 25% and increasing your chance to gain Essence Burst by 50% for 12 sec. Stacks up to 2 times. Multiple applications may overlap.
• 4-set: Consuming Essence Burst during Inner Flame fires an Essence Bomb at your target, healing nearby allies.

Although both tier sets are strong, the Flameshaper tier set gives more healing output and damage. The increased chance to get an Essence Burst proc is fantastic for helping deal with any damage that your team is taking or to use it for damage to land a kill.

Embellishments are bonuses that can be put on crafted gear. These affects can have a drastic impact on the game. You are only allowed to have 2 Embellishments equipped at the same time. Here are the recommended Embellishments for Preservation Evokers:

• Energy Redistribution Beacon. While above 80% health, your direct healing will redistribute up to 2% of your health to your target. This is great for increasing your overall healing output. Because this affect does stack, it is recommended to use 2 of them.
• Duskthread Lining. This Embellishment significantly increases your Versatility when you are above 80% health.
