Choosing your gear carefully is essential for your Preservation Evoker in PvP. We give you a stat priority to help you choose items with the correct stats, followed by advice on how to select the rest of your gear and your trinkets.
Stat Priority for Preservation Evokers in PvP
The stat priority for Preservation Evokers in PvP is as follows:
Intellect is the best stat in all situations. Versatility is the most important secondary stat as it increases the healing you do and reduces the damage you take. Haste is your next best stat is this will make your HoTs (healing over time) spells much stronger and give you faster globals to heal and deal damage.
Gear Recommendations
In general, Preservation Evokers want to get trinkets that increase their overall healing output. These trinkets can have a passive or on-use effect. The stat you want to be increasing is Versatility. The reason you want to increase Versatility is because it increases both your damage and healing and reduces the damage you take. For gear, you want anything that has Versatility and Haste on it. This will increase your overall damage output and your survivability. Here is the best equipment we recommend you use as a Preservation Evoker.
You want to use PvP items as much as possible since they have increased item level in PvP combat. It is essential to be wearing 2 PvP trinkets. This will give you a Stamina and main-stat boost that will increase your survivability.

Preservation Evoker Tier Sets
It is important to note that ALL tier sets are nerfed to 33% effectiveness in PvP. Although this nerf is significant, some tier sets are still important to acquire to maximize your chances to win. For Preservation Evokers, this is your tier set:
- 2-set: Consuming
Essence Burst sends forth a
Living Flame at your target at 100% effectiveness, or a nearby
injured target if they are full health. - 4-set: Green spells restore 5% more health, and
Verdant Embrace
has a 100% chance to grant
Essence Burst.
In general, it is recommended to get both 2-set and 4-set for Preservation Evokers.
Preservation Evoker Embellishments
Embellishments are bonuses that can be put on crafted gear. These affects can have a drastic impact on the game. You are only allowed to have two Embellishments equipped at the same time. Here are the recommended Embellishments for Preservation Evoker:
Blessed Pango Charm gives your healing spells a chance to grant
Versatility to your target. This is great for increasing the survivability
of your team. Craft this on both rings or a ring and a neck.
