Talent Builds By Boss
Dragonflight Raid Talent Builds for Frost Mage
Single Target and Cleave
Our default build, used on the majority of fights.
- BAEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIRQRDJJRaCISERSkkAAAIlEJhEJJhkkkkkEAAAAAAAAAICA
Be sure to make use of the 'Copy Export String' button to import the build directly into your game!
Sporadic Adds
This is nearly identical to the previous build, but it sacrifices Slick Ice for Coldest Snap, which gives us pretty fantastic AoE burst on a 45-second cooldown. This does not allow for us to deal with sustained AoE, but is very nice for sporadic add spawns.
- BAEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIRQRDJJRaCISERSkkAAAIlkIhEJJhkkkkkEAAAAAAAAAICA
Be sure to make use of the 'Copy Export String' button to import the build directly into your game!
Sustained AoE
This build is a raid-modified version of our M+ build, which sacrifices single target damage for the ability to deal with sustained AoE.

Gnarlroot
Talents/Build
This is an add control and burst phase boss. Which talent set you pick is up to you, and which side of the boss your particular group will need more assistance with. Most people should probably try the sporadic add build, although if your raid is heavy on AoE already, you should stay single target for the burn phase.
Tips
There is enough time to get Icy Veins back in time for the burn phase if you pop it on pull.
Pop Mirror Image and Ice Barrier slightly before the second phase so you do not waste the GCDs during the burn phase itself.
For more information, please refer to our Gnarlroot guide.
Igira the Cruel
Talents/Build
This is functionally a single-target fight. The spears are too far apart to worry about any other talent set for us.
Tips
Try and have a minor defensive up, such as Ice Barrier for Blistering Spear.
If possible, stack the Blistering Spear circles near the boss. The distance we can cleave is fairly surprising on this fight, and most casts should hit either a second spear or the boss itself.
You can Blink the stun left from soaking Umbral Destruction.
For more information, please refer to our Igira guide.
Volcoross
Talents/Build
Single target.
Tips
Knockback direction from Flood of the Firelands is based on position versus center of soak circle. Aim yourself accordingly, and pop a defensive of some nature. Remember that you can Ice Floes the knockback so as to not lose uptime.
This is a fairly straightforward boss with no spec-specific tips.
For more information, please refer to our Volcoross guide.
Council of Dreams
Talents/Build
Sadly, this is just our single target build. It contains our 2 target cleave, and we have no method to deal with 3 targets spread out like this.
Tips
There seems to be very little spec-specific interactions for this fight.
While you have to kill the three bosses at the same time, try and make sure you are cleaving off whichever boss is closest Urctos to get the most out of our passive cleave.
Have a defensive available if you are called to soak Barreling Charge. You do have access to three heavy damage reductions, and timing them well means that it will cover both the charge through and the impact itself.
For more information, please refer to our Council of Dreams guide.
Larodar, Keeper of the Flame
Talents/Build
Sporadic add build.
Tips
Most potential tips with regards to optimizing add damage is going to heavily rely on timers, so this will be added to as the fight is seen on live.
Obviously, soak one if needed, but other specs should pick up Blazing Coalescence before we do, as we gain very little from the Crit buff.
Make sure to have a cooldown active for Raging Inferno. Try and toss out Mass Barrier if possible as well.
For more information, please refer to our Larodar guide.
Nymue, Weaver of the Cycle
Talents/Build
Single target.
Tips
Pop at least Ice Barrier when soaking Surging Growth or crossing the Verdant Matrix. Also, consider that you can Blink across any given line of the Verdant Matrix without incident.
Likewise, you can Blink over Impending Loom beams; just make sure you do not land on a Verdant Matrix line.
For more information, please refer to our Nymue guide.
Smolderon
Talents/Build
Single target.
Tips
Phase 1 is functionally dodging things.
Consider using Ice Cold when talented into Cryo-Freeze to remove the healing absorb from Cauterizing Wound.
Intermission gives you a 100% damage buff if you soak all five of your orbs and starts just over 1 minute into the fight. Save anything longer than 1 minute for this. They occur roughly every 1:30-1:40 after that. This is going to make some of our cooldown timers feel really weird, but the double damage buff is generally worth saving the longer cooldowns for.
For more information, please refer to our Smolderon guide.
Tindral Sageswift, Seer of the Flame
Talents/Build
Sporadic add build. We will generally want to just blow the Cone of Cold combo into Mass Entanglement, while we are stacked as close as possible to the boss.
Tips
Do not Blink the Mass Entanglement on Mythic; it will spawn an add. For the lower difficulties, go ahead and break it yourself.
Make sure to have Icy Veins available for the intermission phases. This will mean that you end up sitting on the cooldown a bit, but between the damage buff from Dream Essence and the DPS race to break Supernova, it will be for the best.
For more information, please refer to our Tindral guide.
Fyrakk the Blazing
Talents/Build
Single target. You could make the argument for P2's adds to take the sporadic adds build, but generally, the adds are not the hard part of this fight.
Tips
Alter Time to run Firestorm and Blaze out and return quickly is extremely useful. Make sure to also do this in the final phase with Eternal Firestorm, as the impact leaves a tornado that wanders around that can burst seeds.
Try and coordinate when/if grips are happening on the adds in phase 2, as an inopportune Glacial Spike can prevent mobs from being moved out of the path of the spirits.
For more information, please refer to our Fyrakk guide.
