Below, you will find our recommended leveling build and talent pickup order for your Protection Paladin in MoP Remix. There are various ways of leveling in MoP Remix, and we offer some builds for the most relevant ways.

The overwhelming majority of your character's strength in MoP Remix comes from the gems you slot into all of the slots in your gear. You will be able to equip a Meta gem, a Cogwheel gem granting you a unique utility ability, along with up to 12 Tinker gems, and all of these grant unique effects.

On this page, we will list the strongest available options, and explain the synergy behind some of them. We'll also highlight gems and tinkers that have little to no value for Protection Paladins.

• Meta Gem: Thundering Orb (General use) / Chi-ji, the Red Crane (Open-world content only / Tireless Spirit )
• Cogwheel Gem: Heroic Leap / Blink
• Prismatic Gems:

  Early on, you should focus on Quick Topaz and Versatile Diamond. As you unlock more slots and level up more you will have an abundance of every secondary stat and you should look to have a spread of all secondary stats as you will be hitting diminishing return ceilings on all stats.

• Tinker Gems:
  • Memory of Vengeance
  • Slay
  • Arcanist's Edge (contextual on if you will have a large amount of absorbs available such as AoE scenarios with Bulwark of Order or Moment of Glory)
  • Fervor (Only triggers above 80% HP which should be sustainable at higher levels of gear)
  • Windweaver
  • Brittle (Dungeons or AoE)
  • Sunstrider's Flourish (Dungeons or AoE)
  • Explosive Barrage
  • Lightning Rod
  • Incendiary Terror
  • Quick Strike
  • Wildfire (Dungeons or AoE)
  • Meteor Storm

The following gems are not beneficial for Protection Paladins:

Tinker Gems

• Deliverance: Your healing is quite infrequent and the opportunity cost of this tinker compared to others is too high.
• Savior: You actively should not be healing others in standard gameplay.
• Searing Light: Your healing is quite infrequent and the opportunity cost of this tinker compared to others is too high
• Vindication / Bloodthirsty Coral: If your group needs healing this either of this tinker could fill that void, but ultimately, in MoP Remix, everyone will be quite self sustaining.
• Righteous Frenzy: You actively should not be healing others in standard gameplay.
• Brilliance: Only affects Mana/Rage/Energy, and has no effect on Holy Power.

To keep things simple while leveling and learning the spec, use the slider to select your level, and watch as the leveling rotation grows with each level!

1. Cast Consecration. Only cast this again if you are moving to a new location, or it is going to expire.
2. Cast Judgment to generate Holy Power.
3. Cast Hammer of Wrath on targets below 20% health to generate Holy Power.
4. Cast Shield of the Righteous when you have 3 Holy Power (or more).
5. Cast Avenger's Shield to deal damage to multiple targets, this spell goes highest in priority for damage against 3+ targets.
6. Cast Crusader Strike.
7. Your Crusader Strike will now become Hammer of the Righteous or Blessed Hammer.
8. Cast Hammer of the Righteous/ Blessed Hammer.
