Enhancement Shaman DPS Gems, Enchants, and Consumables — The War Within (11.2)

Welcome to our Consumables page! Here we'll cover the optimal gems, enchants, food, potions, and flasks to use as an Enhancement Shaman. If you're looking for the Stat Priority, please visit our dedicated Stats page.

For all consumables (excluding food) in the lists below, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, look for a lower rank of the same item listed. The price difference is often significant for a small loss in stats gained.

It is recommended that you simulate your character for gems, as individual gear pieces have a big influence. As stats are very similar across different builds and content, we have a one-size-fits-all approach:

• You should use Culminating Blasphemite in your first socket.
• The bonus is weak, so fill out remaining sockets with one Masterful Emerald and one Quick Onyx.
• All other sockets should have whichever of these two gems suits your character best.

An optional alternative is Elusive Blasphemite instead, providing additional movement at a very small performance loss. Some characters may also find that avoiding Culminating Blasphemite entirely is worth it, and if you find your character has reached that level, trust your sim.

For weapons, in Season 3 using these to cover stats you aren't stacking is ideal. This generally means one of Enchant Weapon - Council's Guile, and one of Enchant Weapon - Oathsworn's Tenacity. In some cases (especially AoE), you may find switching one to Enchant Weapon - Stonebound Artistry performs slightly better. All of the secondary stat weapon procs are similar, so you can't make a "wrong" choice.

Ring Enchants are best suited to your preferred stat - either Haste or Mastery. Cloak, Bracer, and Boot enchants have no impact on performance, but we recommend Avoidance and Stamina for the extra survivability.

There are two options for your flask of choice depending on the situation:

• Flask of Alchemical Chaos — is slightly more RNG than the alternatives, but is a net positive in stats while also leading to stronger Tempered Potion uses, so is recommended.
• Flask of Tempered Swiftness / Flask of Tempered Mastery — Slightly weaker, but more consistent due to providing a bulk of a stat we prefer. Remember though, it leads to a weaker Tempered Potion.

You can also obtain a flask of your choice from Algari Flask Cauldrons provided by Alchemists.

Tempered Potion is your best option, and should be paired with major cooldowns and Bloodlust / Heroism. You can also obtain Fleeting Tempered Potion from Algari Potion Cauldron provided by Alchemists.

Invigorating Healing Potion is the current best healing potion. Using this has a 5-minute cooldown, but multiple can be consumed in an extended boss fight should it go on long enough. Additionally, Warlock's Healthstones do not share a cooldown with other healing consumables. Remember to use these as well if you are holding one!

As Haste and Mastery are currently exceptionally strong, you should be using secondary food so long as one of them is your current highest stat. The The Sushi Special feast or any of Outsider's Provisions, Beledar's Bounty, Jester's Board or Empress' Farewell for personal food.

Unfortunately, due to the Enhancement imbue system, we have no access to the additional weapon rune consumables. This is because Windfury Weapon and Flametongue Weapon overwrite them, so save some money and do not worry about these!

While it is technically possible to drop Windfury Weapon and use double Flametongue Weapon to activate Elemental Weapons, this deactivates a lot of our toolkit so is not recommended in any situation.

In addition, if you can afford it, you should use Crystallized Augment Runes to increase your primary stat. Augment Runes are expensive, and disappear on death, so use them wisely!

You can also buy the permanent Ethereal Augment Rune once at Renown 18 with the new Season 3 K'aresh Trust faction or use the Soulgorged Augment Runes that drop from the new raid and persist through death.
