Best Enchants, Gems, and Consumables for Enhancement Shaman

Welcome to our Consumables page! Here we'll cover the optimal gems, enchants, food, potions, and flasks to use as an Enhancement Shaman. If you're looking for the Stat Priority, please visit our dedicated Stats page.

For all consumables (excluding food) in the lists below, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, look for a lower rank of the same item listed. The price difference is often significant for a small loss in stats gained.

2.

It is recommended that you simulate your character for gems, as individual gear pieces have a big influence. Since stats can differ slightly depending on your current gear-set or build, there's a few things to bear in mind:

  • Use Indecipherable Eversong Diamond Icon Indecipherable Eversong Diamond in your first socket.
  • Use Flawless Quick Amethyst Icon Flawless Quick Amethyst or Flawless Masterful Peridot Icon Flawless Masterful Peridot in other sockets.

Depending on your stat balance, you will likely find that sockets are the best place to balance out your secondaries. Since Mastery, Haste, and Critical Strike are all competitive, sim your character to see which gem is worth stacking.

Enchants for Enhancement Shaman

Slot Best Enchantment
Main Hand
  • Enchant Weapon - Acuity of the Ren'dorei Icon Enchant Weapon - Acuity of the Ren'dorei
Off Hand
  • Enchant Weapon - Acuity of the Ren'dorei Icon Enchant Weapon - Acuity of the Ren'dorei
Helm
  • Enchant Helm - Empowered Rune of Avoidance Icon Enchant Helm - Empowered Rune of Avoidance
Shoulders
  • Enchant Shoulders - Amirdrassil's Grace Icon Enchant Shoulders - Amirdrassil's Grace
Chest
  • Enchant Chest - Mark of the Worldsoul Icon Enchant Chest - Mark of the Worldsoul
Legs
  • Forest Hunter's Armor Kit Icon Forest Hunter's Armor Kit
Boots
  • Enchant Boots - Lynx's Dexterity Icon Enchant Boots - Lynx's Dexterity
Rings
  • Enchant Ring - Zul'jin's Mastery Icon Enchant Ring - Zul'jin's Mastery

For weapons, two Enchant Weapon - Acuity of the Ren'dorei Icon Enchant Weapon - Acuity of the Ren'dorei are ideal, especially at lower gear levels in Season 1.

Ring Enchants are best suited to your preferred stat - with Mastery generally being preferred.

Helm, Shoulder and Boot enchants are up to personal preference as they have no direct impact on performance, but we recommend Avoidance for the extra survivability.

Consumable Recommendations

4.1.

Flask

Depending on your Hero Talent of choice, you should use a dedicated secondary flask to lean your gearset toward the preferred secondary:

  • Flask of the Magisters Icon Flask of the Magisters — provides Mastery for Totemic.
  • Flask of the Blood Knights Icon Flask of the Blood Knights — provides Haste for Stormbringer.

You can also obtain a flask of your choice from Cauldron of Sin'dorei Flasks Icon Cauldron of Sin'dorei Flaskss provided by Alchemists.

4.2.

Potions

Light's Potential Icon Light's Potential is your best option, and should be paired with major cooldowns and Bloodlust Icon Bloodlust / Heroism Icon Heroism. You can also obtain Fleeting Light's Potential Icon Fleeting Light's Potential from Voidlight Potion Cauldron Icon Voidlight Potion Cauldron provided by Alchemists.

A note on Draught of Rampant Abandon Icon Draught of Rampant Abandon is that, while it's technically stronger, the void zones it spawns pacify you. It only takes 1-2 GCDs inside this to wipe out the extra value, so isn't generally worth it.

Silvermoon Health Potion Icon Silvermoon Health Potion is the current best healing potion. Using this has a 5-minute cooldown, but multiple can be consumed in an extended boss fight should it go on long enough. Additionally, Warlock's Healthstone Icon Healthstones do not share a cooldown with other healing consumables. Remember to use it as well if you are holding one!

4.3.

Food Buff

As Agility is back to being the most valuable stat in Midnight, you should be eating a Silvermoon Parade Icon Silvermoon Parade or other primary stat Feast if possible. If this isn't provided by your group, stick to Royal Roast Icon Royal Roast personal food instead.

4.3.1.

Gathering Teas

In addition to your food buff, there are also three Tea options that can be used alongside your main buff. Sanguithorn Tea Icon Sanguithorn Tea, Azeroot Tea Icon Azeroot Tea and Argentleaf Tea Icon Argentleaf Tea all provide 50 Speed when used, so pick up whichever is cheapest.

4.4.

Weapon Buffs

Unfortunately, due to the Enhancement imbue system, we have no access to the additional weapon rune consumables. This is because Windfury Weapon Icon Windfury Weapon and Flametongue Weapon Icon Flametongue Weapon overwrite them, so save some money and don't worry about these!

4.5.

Augment Rune

In addition, if you can afford it, you should use Void-Touched Augment Rune Icon Void-Touched Augment Runes to increase your primary stat. These can be obtained through the weekly housing quest, but remember: Augment Runes are expensive and disappear on death, so use them wisely!

4.6.

Other Consumables

Alongside standard buff consumables, there are a handful of other items worth keeping hold of - especially in Mythic+:

  • Gateway Control Shard Icon Gateway Control Shard — allows you to auto-interact with nearby Warlock Demonic Gateway Icon Demonic Gateways.
  • Emergency Soul Link Icon Emergency Soul Link — can be used as a combat resurrection on your target, and does not require Engineering. This is especially useful since we can always use Reincarnation Icon Reincarnation to get back up ourselves.
  • Void-Shrouded Tincture Icon Void-Shrouded Tincture — Midnight's invisibility potion, which can be used to skip certain trash pulls in Mythic+. Bear in mind this does share a cooldown with your offensive potion Light's Potential Icon Light's Potential.
