Garrison: Enchanter's Study Guide (WoD 6.2)
Table of Contents
The Enchanter's Study is a Small Garrison building that Enchanters and Non-Enchanters can use to craft Draenor-specific Enchanting recipes.
While we explain, in this article, how to unlock all levels of the Enchanter's Study, you may be interested in our guide to unlocking all the Garrison buildings. We also have a guide to leveling Enchanting in Draenor.
Main Perks
For Enchanters, the main perk of the Enchanter's Study is that it allows you to
create a maximum of 12x Fractured Temporal Crystals per day, in addition to the
10x (you do not actually get 10x, but a full
Temporal Crystal)
you can already craft with
Temporal Crystal (less with an
Enchanting skill lower than 700). These extra
Crystals are really useful, because they allow you to make more
Draenor enchants, which means you make more money off the Auction
House and you level up Enchanting to 700 faster. Remember that you
can also buy Temporal Crystals on the Auction House, if you need more
than you can produce. The Enchanter's Study is also
where you buy your Draenor-specific Enchanting recipes.
For Non-Enchanters, the main perks of the Enchanter's Study is that you can disenchant uncommon and rare Draenor items using the Essence Font located inside the building and that the resident Enchanter of the study can craft most of the Draenor-specific Enchanting recipes for you, with the exception of the weapon enchants.

Unlocking the Enchanter's Study
In this section, we are going to tell you how to unlock the Enchanter's Study, Level 1, 2, and 3.
Unlocking the Enchanter's Study, Level 1
The Enchanter's Study Level 1 is unlocked when you upgrade your Town Hall to Level 2.
Enchanters
can build this building with a Town Hall Level 1, because they have
a chance to loot
Enchanted Highmaul Bracer (Alliance) and
Enchanted Highmaul Bracer (Horde).
This item drops from humanoid mobs around Draenor and starts a quest line that eventually rewards
the plan to build the Enchanter's Study,
Garrison Blueprint: Enchanter's Study, Level 1, and
Draenor Enchanting,
which teaches basic Draenor recipes that can be used to level up the profession.
If you are
an Enchanter
and the quest item does not drop for you, then you can buy
your
Draenor Enchanting
for 100
from the
Enchanter
at your Enchanter's Study, after upgrading your Town Hall to Level 2.
Unlocking the Enchanter's Study, Level 2
Garrison Blueprint: Enchanter's Study, Level 2 is sold by the blueprint vendor at your Garrison once
you reach level
96
or once you complete your
Talador
Outpost. You can buy it with
750
. You can also buy it from the blueprint
vendor in Ashran without restrictions with
an
Outpost Building Assembly Notes, which
can only be obtained twice, once when questing
in Gorgrond and once when questing in the Spires of Arak.
so the purpose of this
Below, you will find the Alliance and Horde
vendors.

---|---|---|---|

Kinkade Jakobs | Alliance | Ashran, next to Flightmaster | 1x ![]() |
Rezlak | Horde | Garrison, next to Architect Table | 750 ![]() |

Unlocking the Enchanter's Study, Level 3
Garrison Blueprint: Enchanter's Study, Level 3 is a reward from
completing the
Working More Orders achievement, which requires
you to complete 250 Work Orders at your Garrison. This achievement
is account-wide.
Once you complete the achievement, the blueprint is not
directly handed over to you. You still need to buy it from
Sparz Boltwist (Alliance) or Rezlak (Horde)
for 1,000 .
Work Orders
Work Orders are unlocked with your Enchanter's Study Level 1 and allow
you to create Fractured Temporal Crystals. A Work Order takes 4 hours
to complete and transforms 5x
Draenic Dust into 1x
Fractured Temporal Crystal (2x with a level 100 follower assigned
to the Enchanter's Study). This means that you can complete a maximum of 6 Work
Orders per day for a total yield of 6 to 12 Fractured Temporal Crystals.
Unlocking Work Orders
When you first build the Enchanter's Study on a character, the resident
Enchanter at the building gives you Your First Enchanting Work Order. To
complete it, talk to the Enchanter's Assistant and give the
required 5x Draenic Dust. The small box outside the Enchanter's Study
should activate immediately and you can loot the
Enchanting Work Order
that you need to turn in to complete the quest. Doing so rewards you
with 5x
Fractured Temporal Crystals.
Increasing Yield
After upgrading the Enchanter's Study to Level 2, you can assign a follower
with the Enchanting trait to work at the Enchanter's Study.
The higher the level of your follower, the higher the chance that the Work
Order will generate 2 Fractured Temporal Crystals instead of
only 1. With a level 100 follower, you are guaranteed to get 2 Fractured Temporal
Crystals.
While working at the Enchanter's Study, your follower receives experience for every Work Order completed.
Increasing Queue Size
You can queue up to a certain number of Work Orders, depending on your Enchanter's Study's level (7 at Level 1, 14 at Level 2, 21 at Level 3).
Having a Storehouse Level 3 increases the maximum number of Work Orders by 15, which means a maximum of 22 Work Orders at Level 1, 29 at Level 2, and 36 at Level 3.
Being able to queue more Work Orders does not increase your yield, but it does allow you to let more time pass before you have to go back to the Enchanter's Study to refill your queue of Work Orders.
Cost Comparison Between Work Orders and Enchanting Recipe
Temporal Crystal costs 1x
Luminous Shard, which
is equivalent to 20x
Draenic Dust (thanks to
Luminous Shard),
and produces between 4 and 10
Fractured Temporal Crystals, depending on your Enchanting skill.
Below level 600, you only produce 4. Between level 600 and 700
the yield slowly increases to reach 10 at level 700.
Work Orders cost 5x Draenic Dust and produce between
1 and 2
Fractured Temporal Crystals. With no follower or a level 90
follower, you produce only 1. The closer your follower is to 100, the
higher the chance that the yield will be 2. With a follower level 100, you
always produce 2.
If you have enough Draenic Dust, then you should keep the
Work Orders queue full and use
Temporal Crystal every day.
If you do not, then you need to give priority to the method that
will create the most Fractured Temporal Crystals. The idea is that if your follower's level
is closer to 100 (from 90) than your Enchanting skill is to 700 (from 600),
then you should prioritise Work Orders. For example, if your follower's level
is 95 and your Enchanting skill is 640, go for Work Orders first. If your
follower's level is 94 and your Enchanting skill is 650, go for
Temporal Crystal first.
Resident Enchanter
The Enchanter at the Enchanter's Study interacts with you in one of two ways, depending on whether or not you have the Enchanting profession.
For Enchanters
Buying the Draenor Enchanting recipes from the Enchanter in your
Enchanter's Study is the only way to obtain them. Each recipe costs
a number of Secrets of Draenor Enchanting. You can make
one of these items every day using the
Secrets of Draenor Enchanting
Enchanting recipe, which costs 3x
Draenic Dust. The table below
lists all of the recipes you can buy and the amount of Secrets of Draenor
Enchanting it costs to buy them (though some of them only require Gold).

For Non-Enchanters
For Non-Enchanters, the Enchanter in your Enchanter's Study can craft
most of the high-end Draenor Enchanting recipes, except for
weapon enchants and Temporal Crystal/
Fractured Temporal Crystal
(which can be obtained only through Work Orders). Crafting an item
through your Enchanter costs exactly the same quantity of materials
it does when a regular Enchanter crafts it.
Some of the recipes are locked
until you reach a certain level with the Enchanter's Study (see table below).
