Get out and meet your neighbors with Endeavors, the monthly thematic Neighborhood-wide events aimed at working towards common goals. Unlock exclusive decor and themed vendors, earn Endeavor currency, and Housing Experience while completing Endeavor milestones with your neighbors!
Endeavors Introduction
In this guide, we will break down everything we know about Neighborhood Endeavors, including how to begin a new Endeavor and how to work towards Endeavor Milestones, plus suspected themes, rewards, and more!
For a full overview of Neighborhoods, review our guide below:
What Are Endeavors?
Endeavors are a thematic, community-wide activity completed at the
Neighborhood level. Players can engage in a broad variety of tasks to earn
Community Coupons, which
may be traded for special themed decor from exclusive Endeavor vendors, as
well as earning Housing Experience.
How Do Endeavors Work?
When a new Endeavor begins, your Neighborhood will itself change to match the theme as new neighborhood decor, vendors, NPCs, and questgivers file in. Each Endeavor is active for a month, giving Neighborhoods plenty of time to reach all their milestones!
Much like the Trading Post interface, the Endeavors Tab offers players a selection of Endeavor Tasks; completing these quests will fill your personal Endeavor Progress Bar, thereby earning Neighborhood Favor. Task completion also rewards things like gold, character experience, Housing Experience, crests, and Community Coupons. Community Coupons are Warbound, making Endeavors a useful way to play around with alts while also earning the exclusive currency. Certain NPCs may also offer Endeavor-exclusive quests for the duration of the event.
Some Endeavor Tasks are generic gameplay tasks that are easily completed just by playing every day, while others are Housing-specific tasks or Endeavor-themed tasks. Themed tasks typically award more Neighborhood Favor. Some tasks are repeatable, though the rewards from these do receive diminishing returns.
As you and your neighbors fill the Neighborhood Endeavor Progress Bar, you will advance the Endeavor Initiatives and unlock new milestones. New decor items, vendors, quests, and even tasks become available as your neighborhood reaches new milestones.
While many Endeavor Tasks are simple solo missions (even as easy as "Decorate Your Home"), you can also complete tasks in a group. If your group is comprised of 3 or more neighbors from the same Neighborhood, any tasks you may check off in your group content will count for your collective Neighborhood Progress Bar.
Starting a New Endeavor
In Public Neighborhoods, Endeavors are determined by the server; players need not worry at all about planning to start a new Endeavor each month. However, in Private Neighborhoods, the designated Neighborhood Manager will pick the month's active Endeavor. The only exception to these set Endeavor rules are Priority Endeavors, which will be pushed out to all Neighborhoods regardless of type. Priority Endeavors are those related to in-game holidays, storylines, and other important Warcraft-wide events.
If your Neighborhood is small, never fear! Endeavors are meant to scale properly to accommodate a smaller or less active group of neighbors, ensuring that even the smaller communities can still earn their exclusive Endeavor rewards.
Endeavor Rewards
When a new Endeavor begins, the associated vendor will appear in your
Neighborhood with a few decor options available. As your Neighborhood progresses
through its milestones, more decor will unlock
on the vendor; you may also have access to new quests or even new vendors
entirely! For example, completing the final milestone of the Blood Elf Endeavor,
Artistic Aid, allows you to purchase the
Deed of Patronage.
This deed permits you to purchase exclusive decor from special vendors in
Silvermoon City.
All Endeavor vendors accept Community Coupons, and you may spend your Coupons at any Endeavor vendor. If another Neighborhood is running an Endeavor different than yours, you may choose to spend your Coupons at their vendor instead.
Expected Endeavor Themes
A handful of different Endeavor themes appeared during the Midnight Beta cycle, including Blood Elf, Dracthyr, Grummle, and K'areshi. However, the presence of a handful of other Endeavor titles hints at a few more racial and rep-themed events:
- Deepholm denizens;
- Kobolds;
- Mechagnomes;
- Niffen;
- Sporeggar.
Given the loose structure of the Endeavor process, it seems very easy to add new themes in as we progress through the expansion; who knows what kinds of Endeavors we may end up with?
