Demonology Warlock PvP Guide — The War Within (11.1.5)

Demonology Warlocks only received a small buff to their Wild Imp damage this patch. The changes for patch 11.1, which were more significant, are listed in the section below.

• Wild Imps damage has been increased by 20%.

• Doom has been redesigned. Consuming a Demonic Core will no longer reduce the duratino of Doom. Instead, the duration is reduced by 1 second per Soul Shard spent when casting Hand of Gul'dan.
• Doom Eternal has been redesigned. Instead of reducing Doom by 2 seconds per Demonic Core spent, you now have a 30% chance to generate a Demonic Core when Doom expires.
• Demonic Calling has a 10% increased chance of occurring.

These changes are mostly minimal in impact for Demonology Warlocks in PvP. However, the rotation will be more fluid thanks to Demonic Calling's increased chance to have instant Summon Dreadstalkers casts.

Demonology Warlocks have more crowd control than the other specs and, therefore are also much harder to kill. They have utility in the form of Axe Toss, allowing them to kite or set up a Fear freely. If the Demonology Warlock is unchecked, they can easily burst an enemy down in seconds using Summon Demonic Tyrant.

The talent tree has been completely reworked with Doom now becoming a passive. Additionally, you can use multiple charges of Healthstone due to Pact of Gluttony. In the Demonology tree, there are several new talents that change your Summon Vilefiend ability, as well as talents that buff the damage your Summon Felguard does.
