All Content Leveling Build

This build works great both in open-world content and in raids and dungeons. This is because it has both great single-target and incredible AoE, without giving up any meaningful damage in either.

Swap Sun King's Blessing Icon Sun King's Blessing for Unleashed Inferno Icon Unleashed Inferno if enemies are dying very fast, and you spend a lot of time running between bosses/packs.

Best Gems for Fire Mage in MoP Remix

Gems are one of the unique ways to augment your character in MoP Remix, offering offensive, defensive, and utility benefits. On this page, we list the best gems for each type. To learn more about Gems in MoP Remix in general, check out our dedicated page below.

  • Meta Gem: Lifestorm Icon Lifestorm for Raids / Oblivion Sphere Icon Oblivion Sphere for dungeons or outdoor content
  • Cogwheel Gem: Mostly personal preference, but Blink Icon Blink is always good, whereas Soulshape Icon Soulshape is very good for outdoor travel

Leveling Rotation for Fire Mage

When using our slider, note that some talents may appear sooner than you expect them to in the rotation. This is because we have two recommended builds above, each taking talents at slightly different times and sometimes entirely different talents.

6.1.

Rotation to Level Up as a Fire Mage

Starting at Level 1, you only have one main attack ability: Frostbolt Icon Frostbolt.

  1. Make sure you keep Arcane Intellect Icon Arcane Intellect up at all times. Keep in mind, if you die, you have to re-cast it. Otherwise, just cast it once per hour.
  2. Cast Time Warp Icon Time Warp when you are about to go into a big pull or boss fight. Keep in mind you can only gain the benefit once every 10 minutes, even though the cooldown is 5 minutes.
  3. Use Fire Blast Icon Fire Blast on cooldown.
  4. Cast Arcane Explosion Icon Arcane Explosion when there are 3 or more targets.
  5. Cast Combustion Icon Combustion when it is ready and you have at least a couple of charges of Fire Blast Icon Fire Blast and Phoenix Flames Icon Phoenix Flames.
  6. Cast Pyroblast Icon Pyroblast when you have Hot Streak Icon Hot Streak.
  7. Cast Fire Blast Icon Fire Blast when you have Heating Up Icon Heating Up to get Hot Streak Icon Hot Streak.
  8. Cast Phoenix Flames Icon Phoenix Flames to generate Heating Up Icon Heating Up if you do not have Hot Streak Icon Hot Streak.
  9. Cast Scorch Icon Scorch when the enemy target is below 30% health.
  10. Cast Fireball Icon Fireball as your filler.
