1.

Introduction

Below, you can find class and spec-specific advice for every fight in Amirdrassil. If you are looking for a general overview of the Raid that is not spec-specific, check out our dedicated Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope guides.

On this page, you will find information and guidance for each boss individually in Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope as a Fire Mage. These are not complete encounter guides but provide specific tips for any Fire Mage on each boss.

Talent Builds By Boss

2.

Dragonflight Raid Talent Builds for Fire Mage

Single Target/Cleave Sustained AoE
3.

Single Target and Cleave

Our default build, used on the majority of fights.

Be sure to make use of the 'Copy Export String' button to import the build directly into your game!

4.

Sustained AoE

This build is a raid-modified version of our M+ build, which sacrifices single-target damage for the ability to deal with sustained AoE. This is almost never actively picked in raid content, but for some fights, it can be used to achieve maximum overall DPS at the cost of single-target.

Be sure to make use of the 'Copy Export String' button to import the build directly into your game!

Gnarlroot

5.1.

Talents/Build

The boss has two distinct phases, one that is add control and the other that is all about bursting the boss. Generally, the adds do not live long enough for either of our builds to do good damage to them, so we suggest using the single-target/cleave build and focusing on boss damage and spreading Mastery: Ignite Icon Mastery: Ignite where possible.

5.2.

Tips

Ensure you have all your cooldowns ready before the boss reaches 100 energy. This means you can do use Combustion Icon Combustion and then use your second Combustion Icon Combustion in the burn phase.

Pop Mirror Image Icon Mirror Image and Blazing Barrier Icon Blazing Barrier slightly before the second phase so you do not waste the GCDs during the burn phase itself. If you have Sun King's Blessing Icon Sun King's Blessing available closely before the boss enters its burn phase, hold onto it until the boss is about to starts its burn phase, and then begin hard casting Pyroblast Icon Pyroblast right before the phase begins.

For more information, please refer to our Gnarlroot guide.

6.

Igira the Cruel

6.1.

Talents/Build

Single target.

6.2.

Tips

Try and have a minor defensive up, such as Blazing Barrier Icon Blazing Barrier for Blistering Spear Icon Blistering Spear.

You can Blink Icon Blink the stun left from soaking Umbral Destruction Icon Umbral Destruction.

7.

Volcoross

7.1.

Talents/Build

Single target.

7.2.

Tips

Knockback direction from Flood of the Firelands Icon Flood of the Firelands is based on position versus center of soak circle. Aim yourself accordingly, and pop a defensive of some nature. UseIce Floes Icon Ice Floes right before the knockback happens so you can continue casting during it.

This is pretty much a pure DPS fight where the goal is to do as much damage as possible.

For more information, please refer to our Volcoross guide.

8.

Council of Dreams

8.1.

Talents/Build

Single Target

8.2.

Tips

If you are targeted by the Javelin, activate Alter Time Icon Alter Time before you get the damage over time effect and re-activate it when you are low.

Ensure you use a defensive if soaking Barreling Charge Icon Barreling Charge. Ice Block Icon Ice Block with Ice Cold Icon Ice Cold is very strong for this, but Greater Invisibility Icon Greater Invisibility works well as well.

For more information, please refer to our Council of Dreams guide.

9.

Larodar, Keeper of the Flame

9.1.

Talents/Build

Single-target/cleave build.

9.2.

Tips

Blazing Coalescence Icon Blazing Coalescence is strong buff for us if you have Mage Fire 10.2 Class Set 2pc Icon Mage Fire 10.2 Class Set 2pc, so if you have 2-set, you should grab as many as possible, however if you lack the 2-set, you are generally better off letting other people soak it.

Make sure to have a defensive cooldown active for Raging Inferno Icon Raging Inferno. You can use Mass Barrier Icon Mass Barrier as well for additional defensiveness for the group.

10.

Nymue, Weaver of the Cycle

10.1.

Talents/Build

Single target.

10.2.

Tips

Use a defensive like Blazing Barrier Icon Blazing Barrier when soaking Surging Growth Icon Surging Growth or crossing the Verdant Matrix Icon Verdant Matrix. You can Shimmer Icon Shimmer across any line of the Verdant Matrix without taking any damage.

Likewise, you can Blink Icon Blink over Impending Loom Icon Impending Loom beams.

11.

Smolderon

11.1.

Talents/Build

Single target.

11.2.

Tips

You can use Ice Block Icon Ice Block combined with Ice Cold Icon Ice Cold and Cryo-Freeze Icon Cryo-Freeze to remove the healing absorb from Cauterizing Wound Icon Cauterizing Wound.

Intermission gives you a 100% damage buff if you soak all five of your orbs and starts just over 1 minute into the fight. This means you can cast Combustion Icon Combustion on the pull and hold the next Combustion for a couple of seconds to have it line up properly for the intermission. If you get Sun King's Blessing Icon Sun King's Blessing right before the intermission, you should hold onto it for the intermission, but if you get it more than 10 seconds away from the intermission, you should just use it.

For more information, please refer to our Smolderon guide.

12.

Tindral Sageswift, Seer of the Flame

12.1.

Talents/Build

Single Target.

12.2.

Tips

You can use Blazing Barrier Icon Blazing Barrier combined with Energized Barriers Icon Energized Barriers to get rid of Mass Entanglement Icon Mass Entanglement.

Make sure to have Combustion Icon Combustion available for the intermission phases. This will mean that you end up sitting on Combustion for short periods of time sometimes, but due the damage buff from Dream Essence Icon Dream Essence and the DPS race to break Supernova Icon Supernova, it is worth the uptime loss. Generally, there is no point to hold on to Sun King's Blessing Icon Sun King's Blessing procs for the intermission as you are likely to lose it while flying over to the intermission, unless you get the proc right before the intermission.

13.

Fyrakk the Blazing

13.1.

Talents/Build

Single Target.

13.2.

Tips

13.2.1.

Phase 1

If you are targeted by Firestorm Icon Firestorm, you can activate Alter Time Icon Alter Time before running out to drop off the meteor, and then Alter Time back into proper position. On heroic, the same can be done for Blaze Icon Blaze. (which is active in all phases)

13.2.2.

Phase 2

Ensure you have some stacks of Alexstrasza's Fury Icon Alexstrasza's Fury ready for when the adds spawn so you can quickly do a lot of damage to them. Otherwise, this phase is pretty much just a "dodge the fire" phase.

13.2.3.

Phase 3

This phase is very much a "dodge the fire" phase. We do not have specific Fire tips for this phase, however, ensure you use your stacks of Ice Floes Icon Ice Floes wisely to ensure you never have to interrupt a Pyroblast Icon Pyroblast hard-cast as that is a very large DPS loss.
