1. Best in Slot List for Holy Priests

We are currently not recommending a best in slot list, but we do make some important trinket recommendations (below).

2. Trinkets for Holy Priests

For throughput trinkets (presuming equal item level), we have a comprehensive list below.

  1. Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight
  2. Aman'Thul's Vision Icon Aman'Thul's Vision
  3. Sea Star of the Depthmother Icon Sea Star of the Depthmother
  4. Highfather's Machination Icon Highfather's Machination
  5. The Deceiver's Grand Design Icon The Deceiver's Grand Design
  6. Ishkar's Felshield Emitter Icon Ishkar's Felshield Emitter
  7. Tarratus Keystone Icon Tarratus Keystone
  8. Archive of Faith Icon Archive of Faith
  9. Unstable Arcanocrystal Icon Unstable Arcanocrystal
  10. Intellect + Mastery stat trinket
  11. Intellect + Critical Strike stat trinket
  12. Intellect + Versatility stat trinket
  13. Intellect + Haste stat trinket
  14. Eonar's Compassion Icon Eonar's Compassion
  15. Garothi Feedback Conduit Icon Garothi Feedback Conduit
  16. Vitality Resonator Icon Vitality Resonator
  17. Barbaric Mindslaver Icon Barbaric Mindslaver
  18. Chalice of Moonlight Icon Chalice of Moonlight
  19. Charm of the Rising Tide Icon Charm of the Rising Tide

We do not suggest using Mana trinkets unless the encounter has a length of 8-10+ minutes. If you do use one, the best 3 are Darkmoon Deck: Promises Icon Darkmoon Deck: Promises (AoE), Amalgam's Seventh Spine Icon Amalgam's Seventh Spine (heavy single target damage), and Fluctuating Energy Icon Fluctuating Energy.

3. Tier 21 Set Bonuses for Holy Priests

Tier 21 Set Bonuses are very good, particularly when paired with the talent Binding Heal Icon Binding Heal. During light damage Binding Heal becomes your filler spell, replacing Heal Icon Heal. During heavier raid damage, alternating between Binding Heal and Prayer of Healing Icon Prayer of Healing will trigger both of the T21 bonuses and provide the most efficient healing.

4. Legendary Items for Holy Priests

Legendary items have a high item level of 265, which makes them extremely strong. They are so strong, in fact, that a legendary item is always going to be worth equipping over any other item you might have in that slot.

However, there is a limitation on the number of legendary items you can have equipped at any one time (by default 1, but by now most players should be able to equip 2). Since some legendary items are better than others, if you have more items than the limit, you will have to choose which ones to equip.

Below, we will do our best to guide you through this process, as well as provide any other relevant information.

Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight is a good trinket. It is important to use it frequently, and it is particularly powerful when paired with Divine Hymn Icon Divine Hymn or used with Holy Word: Sanctify Icon Holy Word: Sanctify and Prayer of Healing Icon Prayer of Healing spam.

Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus will easily make up a sizeable amount of damage over the course of an encounter that will not need to be healed. This item is extremely powerful for a raid, preventing damage and saving healer Mana.

X'anshi, Shroud of Archbishop Benedictus Icon X'anshi, Shroud of Archbishop Benedictus turns Spirit of Redemption Icon Spirit of Redemption into a viable way of dumping Mana into healing, as well as a means of recovery without the use of one of your raid's valuable combat resses. This legendary opens up the door for misuse, but if properly used, this item will be very valuable.

Entrancing Trousers of An'juna Icon Entrancing Trousers of An'juna is a great legendary due to it allowing you to increase the duration of your Renew Icon Renews by 6 seconds when you have the Benediction Icon Benediction talent. Without this talent, you should not use this item.

Muze's Unwavering Will Icon Muze's Unwavering Will provides 15% reduced cast time on Flash Heal Icon Flash Heal, Prayer of Healing Icon Prayer of Healing and Heal Icon Heal, which makes this a particularly powerful mid-tier legendary, especially when paired with Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus, as it helps keep your health above the 75% threshold.

The Alabaster Lady Icon The Alabaster Lady has potential but due to it being random and being able to proc during periods of low healing a lot of the potential value is lost.

Rammal's Ulterior Motive Icon Rammal's Ulterior Motive is poor because we currently do not typically cast enough Flash Heal Icon Flash Heal on most encounters for this legendary to be of value.

Celumbra, the Night's Dichotomy Icon Celumbra, the Night's Dichotomy has a mediocre effect which is difficult to manage. Unless you have received no good legendaries, you should avoid crafting/purchasing this item.

Norgannon's Foresight Icon Norgannon's Foresight has a nice bonus in its effect, but overall it does not have a big enough impact for it to be considered strong.

Sephuz's Secret Icon Sephuz's Secret is not an outstanding legendary item, but if the encounter allows you to frequently dispel, which triggers the item, it can be very strong.

Al'maiesh, the Cord of Hope Icon Al'maiesh, the Cord of Hope is not strong, since Holy Words are mostly used on cooldown, so its effect will not occur very often.

Phyrix's Embrace Icon Phyrix's Embrace is a poor legendary item that should not be considered.

Soul of the High Priest Icon Soul of the High Priest provides the Surge of Light Icon Surge of Light talent which is a small amount of healing for no Mana cost, and the ability to heal slightly more while moving. It should not be used in raids.

We would point out that for progression raiding, you should prioritise Velen's Future Sight Icon Velen's Future Sight, pairing it with Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus Icon Prydaz, Xavaric's Magnum Opus (survivability), X'anshi, Shroud of Archbishop Benedictus Icon X'anshi, Shroud of Archbishop Benedictus (survivability), or Entrancing Trousers of An'juna Icon Entrancing Trousers of An'juna (sustainedhealing).
