Preservation Evoker Healing Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible Raid Guide — Season 4

In this section, you will find information about each boss individually in Aberrus. These tips and build recommendations will focus on Echo builds. Due to Preservation Evoker 2pc returning for Season 4, Emerald Blossom builds have fallen out of the meta and will be outperformed quite heavily.

Recommended Talents:

• Despite being a dragon, this boss does not have a tail swipe mechanic meaning that it is safe to stand behind.
• This boss deals increased damage and has extra mechanics as it loses health, you will want to manage your mana and cooldowns well to ensure that you have enough to cover the end of the fight when it gets more intense.

Recommended Talents:

• In phase 1, the bosses will be split apart. During this time, you will gain a stacking debuff, either Corrupting Shadow or Blazing Heat. If your stacks ever get too high, you can run to the other boss to let your stacks reset and fall off.
• In phase 2, the boss will deal increasing damage until death; you will need to keep players alive as long as possible during this phase while also rotating through healing cooldowns.

Recommended Talents:

• You will need to dispel players with Unstable Essence when Thadrion is active. However, it will spread to another player with each dispel, so you will want to only dispel when a player reaches high stacks. You will also want to avoid dispelling if the player is in the raid, as it will leave a giant circle under them, likely killing any player it touches.
• Rionthus will spawn orbs around the room that will grant the boss a massive shield if they are able to reach him. Help soak these orbs when you notice them close to you.
• When Rionthus is casting Deep Breath, you will want to look in the air and stay as far away from him as possible. He will pick 1/3rd of the room to fly down and kill anyone in that area. Always be safe and move as far as possible to one side.

• Whenever the boss is brought to the center of the room, he will deal massive damage. Try to plan to have healing cooldowns active each time he is brought to the middle.
• If you are targetted by Searing Slam, it is important that you do not drop the circle on another Lava Vortex or it will likely wipe the raid.

• This encounter has many kickable spells. While not required, you may want to consider talenting into Quell to help interrupt.
• Make sure that you are dispelling players who have the Magma Flow debuff on them.
• This fight contains a high amount of extra mobs; try to Fire Breath when possible help out, as Evoker has very great AoE damage without much effort.
• Try to have healing cooldowns such as Rewind and Dream Flight available at the end of the fight to use during Ignara's Fury.

• Try to position so that the Blast Wave mechanic does not push you into any fire existing within the room. You can't be pushed off the edge, so use that to your advantage when possible.

Recommended Talents:

• Help soak the Magma Puddle circles to shrink them and save space in the room.
• This boss deals increased damage as it loses health; you will want to manage your mana and cooldowns well to ensure that you have enough to cover the end of the fight when it gets more intense.
• If Lava Ejection is not soaked, it will wipe the raid. You will need to help your allies soak this, but soaking it leaves a debuff, increasing your damage when soaking. Do not soak again until this debuff falls off.
• Avoid standing in front of the boss due to Blazing Breath. This will kill you if you are hit by it.

• This boss will spawn walls that will cause you to be LoS and unable to reach your allies or the boss. It is extremely important that you follow the raid and the boss, and do not get stuck on another side of the boss.
• Rushing Darkness can be used to break the walls spawned by the boss but you will want to avoid standing between the players targetted by this and the boss as it will deal damage to you.
• If you are ever targetted by Corruption, it is extremely important that you help to kill the Voice from Beyond adds.
• In the last phase, you will need to stand in Sundered Reality to avoid dying to Ebon Destruction. Failure to do so will kill you.

• Rewind will NOT heal back damage dealt from Oppressing Howl.
