Augmentation Evoker DPS Vault of the Incarnates Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.7
On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Augmentation Evoker for each boss of the following raid: Vault of the Incarnates. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.7.
Introduction
Below, you can find class and spec-specific advice for every fight in Vault of the Incarnates. If you are looking for a general overview of the Raid that is not spec-specific, check out our dedicated Vault of the Incarnates guides.
On this page, you will find Augmentation Evoker specific information to deal with each boss in the Amirdrassil raid. These are not complete encounter guides but rather provide specific tips for doing the bosses as a Augmentation Evoker.
This page assumes that you already understand most of the mechanics of each encounter. These can be found on the full raid guide, so what is contained here are details specifically tailored toward Augmentation Evoker and what you can do to deal with each fight as best as possible.
This page will be updated to contain some more detailed advice on which classes are good to buff for each fight after we have the bosses on live. The single target priority still will loosely apply even in the fights with adds, so if you wish to follow that always, you can without too much DPS loss. I would like to reiterate that optimizing buff targets on a fight-by-fight basis is not required to play Augmentation. While there are significant damage gains associated with doing so, it is not necessary to still perform well or enjoy the class. Finally, how well the player you are buffing plays their class, as well as their gear, can impact the value of the buffs by more than their class.
We suggest reading the dedicated page where this is discussed, along with general target recommendations for your buffs that are linked below:

Tips
- This boss is mostly a single target encounter that spawns adds every ~30
seconds with
Flamerift. We recommend following Single Target Buff Priority on pull then buffing classes that do the most damage to the adds for your group. For the intermission buff single target classes again.
- Make sure to have charges of
Hover during the intermission to keep casting as the add walls move. Make sure to be hitting something at all times to maintain your
Ebon Might on your DPS during this phase so they can break the correct adds out faster.
- Use a charge of
Obsidian Scales or
Zephyr when targeted by
Flamerift
- Using
Renewing Blaze during the intermission will help mitigate the ticking damage from the adds.
For more information, please refer to our Eranog guide.

Tips
- This boss is purely a single-target encounter. We recommend following standard Single Target Buff Priority.
- Throughout this fight tanks will be aiming
Concussive Slam at
Awakened Earth pillars. Avoid being in a line with these pillars and the boss because the tanks may kill you.
- We recommend using
Zephyr for
Rock Blast soaks or if you do not have it then a charge of
Obsidian Scales instead.
Renewing Blaze is best used when tanks break a large number of
Awakened Earth pillars to keep yourself topped during it.
- This fight has a lot of movement, so we recommend being somewhat careful with
Hover charges and only using them for large movement. If you can make the distance you need to travel with 1 to 2
Azure Strikes, then you should likely save the
Hover for a different mechanic.
For more information, please refer to our Terros guide.

Talents/Build

Tips
- This boss is a four-target stacked cleave fight. We recommend buffing classes with really strong cleave like Balance Druid, Frost Death Knight, Devastation Evoker and Shadow Priest.
- Interrupt Kadros or Dathea when they are not with the other bosses with
Quell so they can run back in faster.
- Make sure to stack with the player with
Meteor Axes, prioritizing the axe that is in range as long as it does not put you out of range of the boss.
- Pay attention during
Primal Blizzard and move into
Scorched Ground at 6+ stacks. If you reach 10 stacks you will be frozen
- Use defensives liberally on mechanics to mitigate incoming damage.
Renewing Blaze is particularly good during
Primal Blizzard.
For more information, please refer to our The Primal Council guide.
Sennarth, the Cold Breath
Talents/Build
CEcBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAwMLjtZmZGGMzsMzwMmZDAAAAAMAAYmBAGzUzYmZAAAAwMmZbMzsNmZgx2MAAQAACAzA
Tips
- This boss is mostly a single target encounter with small adds that spawn approximately every 30 seconds and a large add on each platform. We recommend following general single target priority for this fight but classes that deal free cleave are good to buff on platforms with the big spiders.
- This boss will cast
Gossamer Burst throughout the fight which will pull you towards the boss. You can deal with this by either being pulled into a pillar in the room (although sometimes you wont hit the safe spot properly and still be pulled off), by being near the edge of the platform, by using
Hover or
Rescue. Try to avoid being caught off guard since it can consume resources you would like to use elsewhere, such as
Hover when going up the stairs.
- Use
Obsidian Scales liberally whenever you feel like you are in danger, such as if you are about to be hit by a Tornado or before
Chilling Blast.
Renewing Blaze is very good to use while the Frostbreath Arachnids (Big adds) are alive as they have a pulsing AoE DoT.
For more information, please refer to our Sennarth guide.
Dathea, Ascended
Talents/Build
CEcBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAwMLjtZmZGGMzsMzwMmZDAAAAAMAAYmBAGzUzYmZAAAAwMmZbMzsNmZgx2MAAQAACAzA
Tips
- This boss is mostly a single target encounter a few cleave targets to DPS down throughout the fight. We recommend following general single target priority for this fight. If you are assigned to a platform make sure to buff the players that will be on your platform before you get knocked to it.
- This fight has a relatively high ongoing amount of damage at all times, but
the damage peaks during
Cyclone, so we recommend using defensives there. On Mythic players clearing their
Conductive Mark also causes very large raidwide damage making this another excellent place to use defensives.
- On Heroic/Mythic, when an add is killed on the main platform, you will get
knocked back. If you are assigned to go to a platform make sure to position
yourself to get knocked to the platform, else stand towards the inside of the
boss. Augmentation is good to send up because it can increase the damage of
classes that use CDs on the platforms without committing its own
(
Breath of Eons) letting you still use that for boss damage.
For more information, please refer to our Dathea guide.
Kurog Grimtotem
Talents/Build
CEcBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAwMLjtZmZGGMzsMzwMmZDAAAAAMAAYmBAGzUzYmZAAAAwMmZbMzsNmZgx2MAAQAACAzA
Tips
- Outside of Mythic this boss is mostly a single target encounter and so we recommend following normal ST buff priority. However, on Mythic this boss is mostly two-target cleave. We recommend buffing classes like Destruction Warlock, Frost Mage, Arms Warrior and Devastation Evoker on this fight as they will perform exceptionally on two targets.
- During each of the main phases, Kurog will deal AOE damage and gain stacks , increasing the damage of this ability. Due to this, the damage taken during each phase ramps up over time, and we recommend using your defensives towards the end of each phase.
- While near the Altar of Flame, Kurog will periodically cast
Searing Carnage. We recommend having
Hover charges for this to maintain damage uptime during the run.
- While near the Altar of Frost, Kurog will periodically cast
Frigid Torrent. We recommend having
Hover charges for this to maintain damage uptime while dodging the frozen orbs.
For more information, please refer to our Kurog Grimtotem guide.
Broodkeeper Diurna
Talents/Build
CEcBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAwMLjtZmZGGMzsMzwMmZDAAAAAMAAYmBAGzUzYmZAAAAwMmZbMzsNmZgx2MAAQAACAzA
Tips
- This fight has two groups of players - a boss group and an add group. Depending on which group you are with will change your buff priority. On pull, buff classes following normal Single Target buff priority that will be using their cooldowns. After that, follow your groups assignments and buff the players in your group following normal ST priority if you are at the boss or buffing whoever is doing the most AOE if at the adds. During phase two the fight is only Single Target and so you should buff single target classes again.
- During Phase 1 the main source of damage taken is from
Clutchwatcher's Rage every time an egg is broken and we recommend using defensives during each of these.
- At the end of phase 1, two Proto-dragons will spawn and do large AoE damage
with
Chilling Tantrum. It is incredibly important that all of your defensives are available for this, as it is the single largest damage event in the entire fight. You will want to use
Renewing Blaze,
Obsidian Scales and
Zephyr (unless it is assigned elsewhere) staggered throughout this.
- Use charges of
Hover to follow the tank as they move the boss around or to get to add groups faster if you are assigned to adds.
For more information, please refer to our Broodkeeper Diurna guide.
Raszageth the Storm-Eater
Talents/Build
CEcBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAwMLjtZmZGGMzsMzwMmZDAAAAAMAAYmBAGzUzYmZAAAAwMmZbMzsNmZgx2MAAQAACAzA
Tips
- This fight is mostly a single-target fight with two intermissions with adds
or multiple targets breaking up these portions. For the majority of this fight,
we recommend following general Single Target buff priorities. During the
intermissions, you will be divided into a small group, so make sure you start
buffing people in your group before the intermission starts to get buffs on
them immediately. It is common to hold cooldowns from Phase 1 into
Intermission 1 to use on the adds, depending on how fast these die it may be
correct for Augmentation to do the same and use
Breath of Eons on these adds. If they die too fast in your group, you should use your 2nd
Breath of Eons at the end of Phase 1 instead. Intermission 2 has 3 adds spread out throughout the room and so you should just buff whoever is in range with you on your add that does good Single Target.
- Use
Tail Swipe,
Wing Buffet and
Quell to remove stacks from volatile charges.
- On Mythic Raszageth no longer creates
Static Field to prevent the knockback from
Hurricane Wing meaning you need to survive the pushback normally. It is likely you will have assigned
Rescues during this mechanic on other members of your raid, if you do not have assigned Rescues, you should use them anyway to deal with the pushback. On the waves without Rescue, use
Hover or the gateway.
For more information, please refer to our Raszageth guide.
