Augmentation Evoker Leveling Guide from 10 to 90 — Midnight Season 1
On this page, you will find our Level by Level Augmentation Evoker leveling guide for Midnight. Make sure to use the slider to make the guide adapt to your level. For more general leveling information, please refer to our Evoker leveling guide.
Augmentation Evoker Leveling Guide for Midnight
Augmentation Evoker is a support oriented specialisation and as such has significantly lower personal damage output compared to Devastation Evoker. If you choose to level primarily through dungeons, this will not be an issue. But you may have a smoother leveling experience in the open world via questing as Devastation. If you would like to level as Devastation instead, we suggest following our Devastation Evoker Leveling Guide.
If this is your first character, or you simply want to find out more about leveling in WoW in general, we have you covered!
Gear Options
In most cases, you will want to prioritize item level while going through the leveling process. This means selecting whatever has the highest item level. When selecting jewelry pieces (Necklace or Rings) it can be worth dropping a small amount of item level to use items without Versatility as the stat is not very good for Augmentation Evoker.
When using Heirloom items, we recommend using those with Critical Strike and Haste as these are Augmentation's Best Stats and have the most talent interactions. Find out more about Heirlooms in our dedicated guide!
Best Augmentation Evoker Leveling Talents
If you are just starting your journey into Midnight, we have a Level 80 import string for you. You can follow the point-by-point allocation of the below tree once you start gaining levels in Midnight.

Summary of Unlocked Abilities for Augmentation Evoker
To prevent cluttering the guide with a lot of the same information, we recommend you take a look at our dedicated spell page, which will provide you with more in-depth information on Augmentation Evoker spells.
Augmentation Evoker War Mode Talents for Leveling
Here, you will find information on the best PvP talents for leveling and doing solo / small group PvE content.
Augmentation Evoker PvP Talents for Leveling
Augmentation Evoker PvP talents do not provide much of a gain overall but can slightly speed up your leveling process by making combat less troublesome.
Born in Flame is recommended because it gives you two instant cast
Living Flames every time you cast
Ebon Might giving you
better mobility while leveling.
Divide and Conquer deals damage to enemies helping you kill packs
of mobs faster as well as breaking line of sight. If you find this PvP
talent annoying instead run
Unburdened Flight.
Obsidian Mettle will allow you to safely cast
spells while enemies are trying to knock you back. It can also be useful for
picking
up Windswept Herbalism nodes.
Unburdened Flight can be useful when you are
trying to run away from a pack of enemies and not be slowed by Daze.
Useful Leveling Consumables for Midnight
In this section we will detail some Consumables that are useful for leveling during Midnight. These will be primarily focused on items that increase your Speed — both actual Movement Speed and DPS.
Consumables
Speed Food Buffs
-
Exquisitely Eviscerated Muscle — Most Recent Food buff that
provides a large amount of speed that will make leveling considerably
faster.
-
Fried Bonefish or
Bear Tartare — Older food buffs
that still provide a noticeable increase in Speed. If you have any of these
still from leveling in previous Expansions they would be good to use again.
Tempered Potion
This is the Combat Potion from The War Within. This can be used from level 71 or above and can be used to speed up quest bosses or make larger pulls faster (and thus safer). If you already have these then we recommend using these during the leveling process.
Invigorating Healing Potion and Silvermoon Health Potion
Health Potions are invaluable for saving your life during leveling. We
suggest making sure you have some
Invigorating Healing Potion (The War
Within Health Potion, Lv71+) saved up for leveling before starting Midnight
but not too many as
Silvermoon Health Potion will invalidate these
after you hit level 81 and are often very cheap at 1 star.
In Midnight, you can acquire
Silvermoon Health Potion, which is the new Health Potion.
These are usable from Level 81 and provide considerably more healing than
Invigorating Healing Potion. These will often be cheap even early on,
or you can make your own, and will make your leveling a lot smoother as these
will likely be a full heal which can prevent most accidental deaths.
Utility Consumables
We suggest making sure you have some of these consumables as they make leveling significantly faster:
Goblin Glider Kit
Gunshoes or
Potion of the Reborn Cheetah
Light-Step Hoofplates
Best Heirloom Items for Augmentation Evoker Leveling
When deciding which heirlooms to purchase or use, you will want to target items offering Haste, Critical Strike Chance or Mastery. Avoiding Versatility provides the best damage gain for Augmentation Evoker.
