General Information

On this page, we list the best gems, enchants, flasks, potions, and food you can get for your Augmentation Evoker, based on your stat priority. We also give budget alternatives. This page is updated for World of Warcraft — Midnight Pre-Patch (12.0).

1.

Best Gems, Enchants, Food, and Flasks for Augmentation Evoker in The War Within

This section specifically covers the optimal gems, enchants, food, and flasks to use for your character. To get a more detailed rundown of the different stats for Augmentation Evoker, please visit our dedicated Stats page.

2.

Best Gems for Augmentation Evokers

You should use Culminating Blasphemite Icon Culminating Blasphemite or Elusive Blasphemite Icon Elusive Blasphemite in one socket. The increase in damage from Culminating Blasphemite Icon Culminating Blasphemite's crit effect is really minor (less than 0.2%) so you may prefer the movement speed from Elusive Blasphemite Icon Elusive Blasphemite instead.

You should use at least one of each Quick Onyx Icon Quick Onyx, Masterful Emerald Icon Masterful Emerald and Masterful Ruby Icon Masterful Ruby. Fill remaining slots with Quick Ruby Icon Quick Rubys. It is not worth using a Sapphire gem (Versatility) or an Amber (Stamina) gem on Augmentation Evoker to improve your Blasphemite.

Best Enchants for Augmentation Evoker

Slot Enchantment
Necklace
  • Magnificent Jeweler's Setting Icon Magnificent Jeweler's Setting (adds up to 2 sockets to a Ring or Neck)

  • Enchant Chest - Crystalline Radiance Icon Enchant Chest - Crystalline Radiance
Cloak
  • Enchant Cloak - Chant of Winged Grace Icon Enchant Cloak - Chant of Winged Grace
Bracer
  • Enchant Bracer - Chant of Armored Avoidance Icon Enchant Bracer - Chant of Armored Avoidance
Weapon
  • Enchant Weapon - Council's Guile Icon Enchant Weapon - Council's Guile / Enchant Weapon - Stonebound Artistry Icon Enchant Weapon - Stonebound Artistry / Enchant Weapon - Authority of Radiant Power Icon Enchant Weapon - Authority of Radiant Power
Legs
  • Sunset Spellthread Icon Sunset Spellthread
Feet
  • Enchant Boots - Scout's March Icon Enchant Boots - Scout's March / Enchant Boots - Defender's March Icon Enchant Boots - Defender's March
Rings
  • Enchant Ring - Radiant Mastery Icon Enchant Ring - Radiant Mastery or Enchant Ring - Radiant Critical Strike Icon Enchant Ring - Radiant Critical Strike.
  • Magnificent Jeweler's Setting Icon Magnificent Jeweler's Setting (adds up to 2 sockets to a Ring or Neck)

In practice, these guidelines are largely down to how enchants do not compete over primary stats, merely secondaries. As a result, the gearing stat priority is applicable and can be followed: Mastery or Haste as a good default, or whatever sims the highest for you at the time for damage. You can find more information about this on the stats page of this guide.

4.

Best Flask for Augmentation Evoker in The War Within

You should be using Flask of Tempered Mastery Icon Flask of Tempered Mastery while playing Chronowarden and Flask of Alchemical Chaos Icon Flask of Alchemical Chaos otherwise.

5.

Best Temporary Weapon Enchantments for Augmentation Evoker in The War Within

You should be using Algari Mana Oil Icon Algari Mana Oil.

6.

Best Potion for Augmentation Evoker in The War Within

Your stat potion should be Tempered Potion Icon Tempered Potion. Use these when you will do the most damage with your abilities, likely during your cooldowns and/or Bloodlust Icon Bloodlust/Heroism Icon Heroism. You can also obtain Fleeting Tempered Potion Icon Fleeting Tempered Potion from Cauldrons that can be spawned by Alchemists.

You should keep a stock of Invigorating Healing Potion Icon Invigorating Healing Potions to use when at low health, and if you have a Warlock in the group, grab their Healthstone Icon Healthstones and use them as well. Do not macro these together, they are best used separately! You can also obtain Fleeting Invigorating Healing Potion Icon Fleeting Invigorating Healing Potion from Cauldrons that can be spawned by Alchemists.

7.

Best Food for Augmentation Evoker in The War Within

You should be eating from a Feast at all times, either Feast of the Divine Day Icon Feast of the Divine Day, Feast of the Midnight Masquerade Icon Feast of the Midnight Masquerade, or Hearty Feast of the Midnight Masquerade Icon Hearty Feast of the Midnight Masquerade.

If Feasts are not available, eat Outsider's Provisions Icon Outsider's Provisions, Beledar's Bounty Icon Beledar's Bounty, Jester's Board Icon Jester's Board, or Empress' Farewell Icon Empress' Farewell instead.

In addition, if you can afford it, you should use Crystallized Augment Rune Icon Crystallized Augment Runes to increase your primary stat. Augment Runes are expensive, and disappear on death, so use them wisely!

You can also buy the permanent Ethereal Augment Rune Icon Ethereal Augment Rune once at Renown 18 with the new Season 3 K'aresh Trust faction or use the Soulgorged Augment Rune Icon Soulgorged Augment Runes that drop from the new raid and persist through death.

Useful Leveling Consumables for Midnight

In this section we will detail some Consumables that are useful for leveling during Midnight. These will be primarily focused on items that increase your Speed — both actual Movement Speed and DPS. For players who are having a tough time then defensive enchants are still strong.

8.1.

Useful Enchants

  • Enchant Ring - Radiant Haste Icon Enchant Ring - Radiant Haste — Best ring Enchant for DPS.
  • Enchant Boots - Scout's March Icon Enchant Boots - Scout's March — Best Speed Enchant.
  • Enchant Cloak - Chant of Burrowing Rapidity Icon Enchant Cloak - Chant of Burrowing Rapidity — Best Speed Enchant.
  • Enchant Bracer - Chant of Armored Speed Icon Enchant Bracer - Chant of Armored Speed — Best Speed Enchant.
8.2.

Consumables

8.2.1.

Speed Food Buffs

  • Exquisitely Eviscerated Muscle Icon Exquisitely Eviscerated Muscle — Most Recent Food buff that provides a large amount of speed that will make leveling considerably faster.
  • Fried Bonefish Icon Fried Bonefish or Bear Tartare Icon Bear Tartare — Older food buffs that still provide a noticeable increase in Speed. If you have any of these still from leveling in previous Expansions they would be good to use again.

8.2.2.

Tempered Potion Icon Tempered Potion

Combat potions can be used to speed up quest bosses or make larger pulls faster (and thus safer). We suggest making sure you have a fair few to last you until the Midnight economy stabilises and Midnight potions become affordable.

8.2.3.

Invigorating Healing Potion Icon Invigorating Healing Potion and Silvermoon Health Potion Icon Silvermoon Health Potion

Health Potions are invaluable for saving your life during leveling. We suggest making sure you have some Invigorating Healing Potion Icon Invigorating Healing Potion saved up for leveling before starting Midnight but not too many as Silvermoon Health Potion Icon Silvermoon Health Potion will invalidate these after you hit level 81 and are often very cheap at 1 star.

After Midnight starts you will be able to acquire Silvermoon Health Potion Icon Silvermoon Health Potion which is the new Health Potion. These are usable from Level 81 and provide considerably more healing than Invigorating Healing Potion Icon Invigorating Healing Potion. These will often be cheap even early on, or you can make your own, and will make your leveling a lot smoother as these will likely be a full heal which can prevent most accidental deaths.

8.2.4.

Utility Consumables

We suggest making sure you have some of these consumables as they make leveling significantly faster:

  • Goblin Glider Kit Icon Goblin Glider Kit
  • Gunshoes Icon Gunshoes or Potion of the Reborn Cheetah Icon Potion of the Reborn Cheetah
  • Light-Step Hoofplates Icon Light-Step Hoofplates
  • Thunderous Drums Icon Thunderous Drums
  • Draught of Silent Footfalls Icon Draught of Silent Footfalls
