Elemental Shaman DPS Easy Mode — Shadowlands 9.2.5
On this page, we explain how to easily play Elemental Shaman in World of Warcraft — Shadowlands 9.2.5, using the simplest rotation, talent tree, stat priority, gear setup, etc., without sacrificing performance.
Foreword
This section is intended for players who are new to the game or class, have no intentions of raiding Mythic difficulty, or simply want a more straightforward way to play their specialization without being overwhelmed by the numerous priorities and active abilities that need to be taken into consideration for optimal play.
The Basics for Elemental Shaman
Elemental is a straightforward specialization that can easily adapt to most situations comfortably. The amount of keybinds required to effectively play this specialization is relatively low, making it a great choice for less seasoned players. In this section we will be focusing on a setup that minimizes the amount of buttons and reactivity necessary without unduly compromising overall damage output.
If you are completely new to Elemental and need more information on the abilities available to you, you can check out our Spell Summary page.
Talent Choice for Elemental Shaman
These choices are optimized for ease of use. Although some talents might offer higher gains when played properly, these same talents often result in damage losses when utilized by many players. These talents aim to present the best setup that has little punishment for unfamiliarity or mistakes.

Stat Priority for the "easy" Elemental Shaman build
- Intellect
- Haste
- Versatility
- Mastery
- Critical Strike
While the stat priority for classes is usually the same for both the Easy Mode page and our full guide, differences can still occur. If you want to see the full explanation of the stat priority, as well as the absolute top choices for the priority, head to our full stats page below.
Legendary Powers for Elemental Shaman
This is a shortlist of the best Legendary Powers, in order of overall strength and usefulness.
Windspeaker's Lava Resurgence (best for pure single-target)
Echoes of the Great Sundering (best for stacked AoE)
Skybreaker's Fiery Demise (best for split AoE)
Deeply Rooted Elements (potentially strong with the new set)
With Patch 9.2 you can now
have a second Legendary power
once you reach Revered reputation with the new faction, The Enlightened.
This only allows you to use your chosen Covenant's Legendary power however; you
do not get a pick of any two Legendaries you want. We recommend using the Night
Fae Legendary Seeds of Rampant Growth.
Covenants for Elemental Shaman
Covenants for Elemental Shamans are very close in strength and we highly recommend you do not pick your Covenant because of fleeting differences in optimization. If you really want to know the safest pick, it is Night Fae.
