About Our Author

This guide has been written by Azortharion, the main theorycrafter of the spec. He is also an accomplished player who raids in Solaris. You can also watch his stream on Twitch.

1. Gems

You should use Masterful Argulite Icon Masterful Argulite or Deadly Deep Chemirine Icon Deadly Deep Chemirine in all sockets, depending on what your best stat is at the moment. Generally speaking, it will be Mastery, but if you have the T20 2-piece bonus and low Critical Strike, that option may be better. See the stats section for more information.

If Critical Strike is the better stat for you at the moment, use Deadly Deep Chemirine Icon Deadly Deep Chemirine gems instead.

2. Enchants

Slot Enchantment
Neck
Back
Rings

3. Consumables

Flask of the Seventh Demon Icon Flask of the Seventh Demon should be used for raids along with Potion of Prolonged Power Icon Potion of Prolonged Power as your potion of choice.

You should eat Critical Strike or Mastery foods (The Hungry Magister Icon The Hungry Magister and Nightborne Delicacy Platter Icon Nightborne Delicacy Platter respectively), depending on your build/current best stat.

Warlock Healthstones or Astral Healing Potion Icon Astral Healing Potion should be used when at low health.

If you can afford it, you should also use augment runes (which work in both raids and Mythic+ dungeons). Defiled Augment Rune Icon Defiled Augment Rune is the cheap rune with a one-time use. Lightforged Augment Rune Icon Lightforged Augment Rune costs 50,000 Gold and requires exalted reputation with the Army of the Light faction.
