Mechanic Breakdown (Normal/Heroic)
1.1.
Phase 1:
- Avoid orbs from Pylons during
Invoke Collector.
- Tanks: Run away
Arcane Obliteration and use this as your tank swap. Tank the add where you spawn it.
- Soak
Arcane Obliteration and kill the add as a priority.
- Heroic: Split the raid into 3 teams to soak
Arcane Obliteration.
- Move under the boss with
Astral Harvest to spawn adds there to kill.
- Avoid
Silencing Tempest circles. They... silence you.
Arcane Obliteration
- This will target the active tank and spawn an Arcane Echo.
- Players in the raid should help soak this to split the damage taken.
- The Arcane Echo will copy any ability the boss casts.
- Healers: Players that soak this will have a healing absorb applied to them.

- Pylons:
- When they spawn from the boss casting
Invoke Collector it will fire lots of orbs into the room. Avoid these.
- It will then periodically cast
Astral Harvest. This targets 3 players which will spawn orbs that will slowly go towards the Pylon. If it ever reaches the Pylon it will deal raid wide damage.
- Place these orbs under the boss and cleave them down.
- If a player spawns them far away a Death Knight can grip it to the boss.
- All CC works on these adds so it is good to use tools such as
Ring of Peace,
Leg Sweep,
Ursol's Vortex etc.
- All Pylons work independently from each other. This means that when two Pylons are active they will both cast
Astral Harvest making a total of 6 adds.
- When they spawn from the boss casting

- Tanks:
Overwhelming Power
- Stacking DoT from tanking the boss. You will naturally swap in the first Phase 1 at apporiate times due
to
Invoke Collector. In the second Phase 1 (and Phase 2) aim to swap every 2 or 3 stacks.
- Stacking DoT from tanking the boss. You will naturally swap in the first Phase 1 at apporiate times due
to
- Healers:
Arcane Siphon
- Ticking damage to the raid.
1.2.
Intermission (~2m30s after Phase 1 start):
Your goal in this phase is to destroy the pylons before they reach full energy and make the most of the Mana Splinter
damage amplification windows. You only get 2 intermissions. Make them count!
- Pylons:
- Each Pylon has an energy bar. If it ever gets pull they will cast
Arcane Convergence which deals a large amount of raid wide damage.
- The Pylons will fire
Photon Blast beams towards random players. Avoid these.
- Each Pylon has an energy bar. If it ever gets pull they will cast
- Tanks: Shielded Attendants
- These will spawn in the middle of the room during the intermission. Take one each and take it to your groups pillar and cleave it down.
- They will deal more damage to their target as time goes on, be ready with defensive cooldowns as your pillar gets low.
- When
Mana Splinter happens use this as an opportunity to taunt swap (if the adds are still alive).
- Healers:
Astral Burn
- Ticking damage that stacks.
- This will keep stacking for the whole intermission.
Mana Splinter
- Once all the pylons are destroyed the boss is stunned and takes increased damage while stunned.
- This happens at aproximately ~3:20 and ~6:40 (can be sooner if DPS during intermission is faster)
- DPS: With the above timings in mind, if you are a 3 minute class you would use it on the pull and both
Mana Splinter's.
1.3.
Phase 2 (After 2 intermissions or reaching 15% HP):
Dark Singularity
- At the start of this phase the boss will push everyone towards the entrance of the room and slowly try to pull you towards the
Dark Singularity.
- If you touch it you die.
- If the adds go into it, it will deal large raid wide damage.
- The effect of the pull gets stronger the longer you are in this phase.
- At the start of this phase the boss will push everyone towards the entrance of the room and slowly try to pull you towards the
Void Harvest
- Similar to the
Astral Harvest adds in Phase 1 just spawn these under the boss and cleave them down.
- If a player spawns them far away a Death Knight can grip it to the boss.
- All CC works on these adds so it is good to use tools such as
Ring of Peace,
Leg Sweep,
Ursol's Vortex etc.
- If they ever reach the
Dark Singularity it will deal a large amount of raid wide damage.
- Similar to the
Dark Singularity
- This cast knocks players away from the boss.
- Try to get knocked towards the entrance of the room.
- If any adds are alive during this it would be advisable to stun them or put a displacement tool down such as
Ring of Peace.
1.4.
Heroic Changes:
- 3 Pylons are activated.
- Tanks: The add spawned from
Arcane Obliteration must stay 20 yards away from the boss to prevent it and the boss getting
Mark of Power.
Arcane Obliteration now leaves a 10 minute debuff on players preventing them from splitting the soak damage. This means that you need 3 teams of players set up as the boss will cast this twice in the first Phase 1 and once in the second Phase 1.
2.

Mythic Changes
Astral Harvest:
- All orbs spawn with
Power Manifested on them meaning you cannot hit or CC them.
- This can be removed by pathing the orb through a
Void Tear which will always spawn opposite from the pylon that triggered the mechanic.
- Tanks: This means for effective cleave DPS from the raid the boss must be moved around the room constantly.
- All orbs spawn with
- Intermission Pylons:
- These now need to be killed at a similar time. If not the raid will wipe due to
Containment Breach.
- These now need to be killed at a similar time. If not the raid will wipe due to
Void Harvest:
- These spawn in sets of 9 (3 sets of 3 in quick sucession). Save some burst damage to kill them quickly.
