Mechanic Breakdown (Normal/Heroic)
1.1.
Boss:
- This boss works in cycles of aproximately 2 minutes. The cycle begins with
Soul Calling which pulls up chambers throughout the room. Each of these has an add in them which is casting
Soulweave, if they finish that cast they will spawn.
- On Normal the nearest 6 chambers will be pulled up. On Heroic all 12 chambers will be pulled up.
- You will have 3 sets of
Soulfray Annihilation beams which can destroy one chamber each (6 total) before
Soulweave finishes casting.
Soulfray Annihilation
- The Tanks should ideally keep the boss near 2 chambers they want to destroy.
- This beam targets 2 players and they need to aim their beam at add chambers to destroy the shield around it.
- These players should stand behind the chamber they wish to destroy.
- After the beam fires an orb will shoot out and destroy the shield.
- Kill the adds and move to the next location.

Soulfire Convergence
- Several players will have projectiles fired onto them which then spawns the mechanic on them.
- These players need to move away from the raid and ensure that none of their lines will hit the raid.
- Orbs will fire from these lines across the whole room.

Arcane Expulsion
- Raid wide knockback.
- You can fall off the edge of the room on this fight! Make sure you are not near an edge.
- Healers: This also applies a raid wide DoT.
- Tanks:
Mystic Lash
- This acts as the tank swap for the fight.
- Applies a stacking debuff on the tank increasing their damage taken for 45 seconds.
- The damage done from the debuff is all magical damage but the debuff increases both magical and physical damage taken.
- As it is somewhat infrequent you should not be afraid to use cooldowns on this.
- Healers:
Spellburn
- Constant ticking raid wide damage.
1.2.
Adds:
- Shadowguard Mage
- Repeatedly casts
Void Burst, which applies a DoT to the player targeted.
Void Burst can be interrupted.
- Death Knights should grip these in if the chambers are far away from the raid.
- You ideally want to have as few of these as possible as you will realistically not have enough interrupts to deal with more than 2.
- Repeatedly casts
- Shadowguard Assassin
- Jumps to a random player and casts
Voidblade Ambush which deals AoE damage at that location.
- Ranged DPS and Healers should spread out to avoid unnecessary damage being taken.
- If players are spread too far away they will take a long time to die as they will not be in the AoE clump at the boss.
- Jumps to a random player and casts
- Shadowguard Phaseblade
- Casts
Phase Blades which does a small amount of raid wide damage.
- These are the lowest priority add to deal with as healers should be able to manage the raid damage taken.
- Casts
1.3.
Heroic Changes:
- All 12 Chambers are active meaning you will have at least 6 adds to deal with each cycle.

Quick TLDR Guide
1.4.
Boss:
Soul Calling pulls up 6 (Normal) / 12 (Heroic) adds.
- Aim
Soulfray Annihilation beams into these to break them. Only 1 beam per add chamber.
- Heroic: Do not stand in the path of the orb from the beam as you will soak it and not break the add out.
- Do not stand close to the edge when
Arcane Expulsion is cast. It knocks you back.
- Run away with
Soulfire Convergence.
- Tanks: Swap after
Mystic Lash.
- If any adds finish their cast of
Soulweave they will spawn.
1.5.
Adds:
- Shadowguard Mage: Interrupt
Void Burst.
- Shadowguard Assassin: Jumps to random players and deals AoE damage with
Voidblade Ambush.
- Shadowguard Phaseblade: Raidwide AoE with
Phase Blades.
2.
Mythic Changes
- Breaking out the adds is different:
- Each chamber is covered with an
Arcane Sigils.
- You now need to hit them with a small orb from
Soulfire Convergence before they are vulnerable to be broken by
Soulfray Annihilation.
- Each chamber is covered with an
Arcane Expulsion:
- The knockback from
Arcane Expulsion will now leave a permanent pool on the ground where you land.
- This means you want to be knocked back as a raid team to designated locations near the edge. Be careful not to get knocked off the edge!
- The knockback from
- Empowered Adds:
- Shadowguard Mage: The cast time is now halved each time they are interrupted.
- Shadowguard Assassin: Increased AoE damage.
- Shadowguard Phaseblade: Increased raid damage the longer it is alive.
