This page will cover everything you need to know about the Grudge Pit Delve in the Midnight Expansion, including strategies for events, trash, and bosses.

1.

Getting into the Grudge Pit

Grudge Pit is a Delve located on the Southeast side of Harandar, by the similarily-named Grudge Pit area.

This guide will provide all the specifics you need to complete the Grudge Pit Delve across all tiers of difficulty (from Tier 1 to Tier 11). We will cover Delve events, optional bosses (rares), as well as all the end-of-delve bosses and their abilities. If you would like to learn about the rest of the Delves in Midnight, please see our overviews linked below.

Events and Trash Mobs in the Grudge Pit

3.1.

Event #1: Arena Champion

In this event, you will participate in the Sporeling's arena championship, where you'll fight through waves of mobs until you face the Arena Champion - the final boss of the Delve.

In this variant, Sporbits from The War Within are back to help you deal damage to arena mobs.

3.2.

Event #2: Dastardly Rotstalk

In this event variant, you're entering the Arena as the Dastardly Rotstalk, a heel-wrestling character. Upset the audience by punting fans, defeating fan favorite fighters, taunting the crowd, and more.

You're able to move while taunting the crowd.

3.3.

Event #3: Lightbloom Invasion

In this event, you must help with an invasion of Lightbloom mobs. There are multiple waves, and you can free fighters that will blow up spawn-points of enemies, and help build defenses.

3.4.

Event #4: Fungal Pharmacon

In this event, the Children of Ula'tek are attacking the Grudge Pit. To do so, they have dug in through burrows to invoke rituals with their totems.

To break these totems, you must loot Fungal Pharmacon Icon Fungal Pharmacon scattered across the delve, and use them to break the pillars. These are marked with blue vignettes on your minimap, and you will need four Pharmacons to break all pillars.

Brightthorn Delve Boss Guide

Brightthorn is the boss of the Lightbloom Invasion event of the Grudge Pit. This is one of the easier Midnight delves bosses, with a very basic ability rotation; here is what you have to do to defeat her more easily:

  • Solar Charge Icon Solar Charge has Brightthorn charging in your direction, you can simply sidestep it. Solar Charge also leaves Overbloom void zones on the floor that deal damage when stood on, so make sure to avoid them.
  • Bloom Thorn Icon Bloom Thorn is a simple holy damage ability and can be interrupted.
  • Blinding Burst Icon Blinding Burst has Blightthorn burst in holy light, disorienting anyone who's looking at her at the end of the cast. To avoid the effect, turn away from her before it finishes casting.
5.

Gyrospore Delve Boss Guide

Gyrospore is the boss of the Arena Champion event of the Grudge Pit. This boss is a little harder than Brightthorn, but its abilities are also pretty easy to deal with; here is what you have to do to defeat him more easily:

  • Fungalstorm Icon Fungalstorm is Gyrospore's main ability - He spins around the room for a few seconds, dropping void zones in the process. After Fungalstorm is done, Gyrospore becomes dizzy, taking increased damage for 10 seconds.
  • Fungsplosion Icon Fungsplosion has Gyrospore explode in AOE damage after a few seconds. As the damage is near his melee range, step back to avoid the damage.
  • Fungal Charge Icon Fungal Charge is a simple charge in your direction - Side step once you see the cast and you'll avoid it.
6.

Mycomight Delve Boss Guide

Mycomight is the boss of the Dastardly Rotstalk event of the Grudge Pit. This boss is definitely the easier of the 3 delve variants; here is what you have to do to defeat it more easily:

  • Rancid Rain Icon Rancid Rain gives you an AOE effect where you'll drop a poison cloud on the floor after a few seconds. Make sure to drop it away from the area you intend to fight Mycomight in, as standing in the poison cloud slows you and deals moderate Nature damage.
  • The Fungi's Fist Icon The Fungi's Fist sends shockwaves across the arena that deals heavy damage and stuns anyone caught on. They're pretty easy to spot, so make sure to dodge!
  • Fling Chair Icon Fling Chair has Mycomight fling a literal chair at you, with a knockback and disorient effect if you get hit. Sidestep the impact area.
7.

Replicating Venomborne Delve Boss Guide

Replicating Venomborne is the boss of the Fungal Pharmacon event of the Grudge Pit. This boss can become a bit tricky if not dealt with correctly:

  • Venom Splash Icon Venom Splash leaves a pool of poison behind that deals significant AOE damage and slows movement speed, easily dodgeable.
  • Hydra Strike Icon Hydra Strike deals Nature damage and leaves a DOT. Valeera can heal through this, but be careful as this effect does stack.
  • Serpentogenesis Icon Serpentogenesis is the Venomborne's most dangerous ability, where he spawns a bunch of Lesser Venomborne that attack you. The adds are not very dangerous on their own, but if left alive by the time the Venomborne casts another Serpentogenesis, they will heal the Venomborne for a percentage of his maximum health. Nuke them as they spawn and this is a non issue.
