Sunkiller Sanctum Delve Guide: Location, Boss Strategies, and Trash
This page will cover everything you need to know about the Sunkiller Sanctum Delve in the Midnight Expansion, including strategies for events, trash, and bosses.
Getting into Sunkiller Sanctum
MISSING is a Delve located on the East side of Voidstorm, near the entrance to the Voidspire raid.
This guide will provide all the specifics you need to complete the MISSING delve across all tiers of difficulties (from Tier 1 to Tier 11). We will cover delve events, optional bosses (rares), as well as end of the dungeon boss and their abilities. If you would like to learn about the rest of the Delves in Midnight, please see our overviews linked below.
Sunkiller Sanctum Layout
Events and Trash Mobs in Sunkiller Sanctum
Event #1: Core of the Problem
In this event, Domanaar forces are invading the Sunkiller Sanctum, looking to steal energized cores left behind. We use a network of portals to traverse the delve and prevent the Devouring Host from obtaining these orbs.
Collecting an Energized Orb gives you a stacking movement speed and reduced damage taken buff, via MISSING.
Event #2: Not What I Expected
In this event, we're dealing with both Light and Void threats alike, as an experimentation with Lightbloom spores to fight the Voidspire invaders has gone awry. We're doing this by killing both Domanaar void units and Lightbloom invaders.
Unlike most Delve events, this event in specific does not have a Delve final boss. The Delve ends once you finish the kill three MISSING NPCs task.
Event #3: The Gravitational Effect
In this event, we're taking advantage of micro singularities and their gravitational fields to navigate the sanctum and disable the shields powering up the Delve's final boss.
Esuritus Boss Guide
MISSING is the final boss of the Core of the Problem and The Gravitational Effect events in Sunkiller Sanctum. He is one of the more complicated Delve bosses with a lot of extra effects on his abilities; here's how you defeat him more easily:
- All of Esuritus's abilities will summon a number of Voidcaller NPCs. These Voidcallers will spam MISSING and need to be killed as to not empower Esuritus.
- @MISSING can and should be interrupted. If it connects, Esuritus will spawn 1 Voidcaller.
- MISSING inflicts you with a shadow DOT. Once this dot expires or is dispelled, Esuritus will spawn 1 Voidcaller.
- MISSING spawns a medium range AOE effect which must be dodged, and spawns 4 Voidcallers.
- MISSING is Esuritus's final ability, where he attempts to devour any Voidcallers still alive. Esuritus gains increased damage for 30 seconds if he successfully devours a Voidcaller, so they must all be dead by the time he casts this ability.
