General Information

Welcome to our World of Warcraft encounter guide for Zek'voz, Herald of N'Zoth in Uldir. We will teach you everything you need to know to defeat the boss in every difficulty.

On this particular page, we will give you a short overview of the fight as well as a list of things to watch out for (include LFR tips when applicable).

The other pages of our Zek'voz, Herald of N'Zoth guide can be accessed from the table of contents on the right.

1. Contents

To make it easy to navigate the guide, we have split it into 2 pages:

2. Lore

Zek'voz can be accessed after Taloc and MOTHER have been slain.

Shortly after the Sundering, a dark messenger arrived on the fresh shores of Zandalar, intending to bring the newly isolated tribe into the service of N'zoth. Zek'voz was prepared to entice, bribe, cajole, corrupt, or simply kill them, but he was not prepared to encounter the defenses of Uldir. He was captured, studied, disassembled, and stored in the Titans' Archives, where he has waited for a chance to escape.

3. Outline

Zek'voz is a three-phase encounter in which the boss will move through different Old God mechanics as you progress through the fight. Through his phases the raid will need to handle abilities borrowed from C'thun, Yogg-Saron, and presumably N'zoth, while also dealing with add spawns and meeting position checks.

4. TL;DR

4.1. Tanks

4.2. Healers

  • Have raid cooldowns ready for Surging Darkness Icon Surging Darkness.
  • Be aware of where players with Roiling Deceit Icon Roiling Deceit are running, as they will likely be out of range while dropping off their debuff.

4.3. DPS

4.4. Everyone

  • Be ready to move away from other players if you are targeted by Eye Beam Icon Eye Beam.
  • Crowd control the Silithid Warriors to prevent them from reaching the raid.
  • Crowd control and interrupt the Nerubian Voidweavers to prevent their casts.
  • Drop Roiling Deceit Icon Roiling Deceit around the edges of the room.
  • Make sure to avoid Roiling Deceit Icon Roiling Deceit clouds, as spawning an add will likely result in a wipe.
  • Crowd control and interrupt players afflicted with Will of the Corruptor Icon Will of the Corruptor to prevent their casts.

4.5. Positioning

  • Tank the boss near the center of the room.
  • In Phase One, loosely spread behind the boss so that Silithid Warriors do not spread out.
  • Players targeted by Eye Beam Icon Eye Beams must move away from the group quickly.
  • In Phase Two, tank the boss on top of any adds that spawn.
  • Players with Roiling Deceit Icon Roiling Deceit should drop it as far out as possible, near the edges of the room.
  • In Phase Three, tank the boss in the center of the room, and have players loosely spread behind the boss.

5. Bloodlust/Heroism/Time Warp

We advise you to use Bloodlust Icon Bloodlust/Heroism Icon Heroism/Time Warp Icon Time Warp in the final phase to help with healing from Titan Spark Icon Titan Spark, as well as to synergize with Corruptor's Pact Icon Corruptor's Pact buff that will be spreading through the raid.
