Azerite Essences for Feral Druids

Essences allow players to customize their characters while adding a new ability to use. This section will cover the best overall Azerite Essences for Feral Druids in PvP.

For a general guide to all the essences, as well as how to obtain them and increase their ranks, check out our Essence guide.

Before reading this page, you should have a good understanding of the PvP playstyle of a Mistweaver Monk. So we advise you to read our dedicated page on the subject.

1.1.

Major Essences

Concentrated Flame Icon Concentrated Flame gives you a Major Power that blasts the target for damage. Each time you use this ability, it increases the damage dealt by 100% and stacks up to 2 times. This is a solid Essence that deals good single target damage.

Conflict and Strife Icon Conflict and Strife gives you the spell Thorns Icon Thorns as a baseline ability. The minor also gives you Strife Icon Strife. Not only do your spells have a chance to give you Versatility, but any loss of control to your character does too. This means that, if teams stun you and try to swap to you, you have additional Versatility and take less damage.

1.2.

Minor Essences

In addition to having a Major Essence, you can choose two Minor Essences to place in your neck at Heart of Azeroth Levels 55 and 65.

Memory of Lucid Dreams Icon Memory of Lucid Dreams grants the Minor Power, Lucid Dreams Icon Lucid Dreams. This gives your spells and abilities a chance to refund 50% of the Energy spent on them and heal you. This is great for increasing your damage, as you will frequently be refunded Energy throughout a match.

Conflict and Strife Icon Conflict and Strife grants a very powerful Versatility Minor Power. Not only do your spells have a chance to give you Versatility, but any loss of control to your character does too. This means that, if teams stun you and try to swap to you, you have additional Versatility and take less damage.

Breath of the Dying Icon Breath of the Dying grants the minor ability Lethal Strikes Icon Lethal Strikes. This will increase your overall damage output and also help with your survivability.

The Crucible of Flame Icon The Crucible of Flame gives the minor ability Ancient Flame Icon Ancient Flame. This gives your spells and abilities a chance to put a dot on an enemy that took damage. This will be an overall increase to your sustained damage.

Azerite Traits for Feral Druids

Azerite traits are unlocked in you helm, shoulders and chest. With each Azerite level in your neck, you get closer to unlocking the center trait in your gear. These traits vary from increasing damage or healing of certain abilities to helping increase your survivability. Depending on what traits you use, it can completely alter your playstyle and what talents you should be using.

  1. Masterful Instincts Icon Masterful Instincts
  2. Jungle Fury Icon Jungle Fury
  3. Gushing Lacerations Icon Gushing Lacerations
  4. Blood Mist Icon Blood Mist

Feral Druids do not depend on a single trait. Instead, they want to focus on getting multiple different traits. Masterful Instincts Icon Masterful Instincts is a very important trait to have. This trait will drastically increase your survivability and damage when Survival Instincts Icon Survival Instincts expires. Jungle Fury Icon Jungle Fury is a great trait for increasing your sustained damage with Tiger's Fury Icon Tiger's Fury. Gushing Lacerations Icon Gushing Lacerations is important for increasing your spread damage with Rip Icon Rip and it also has a chance of awarding a Combo Point. Blood Mist Icon Blood Mist is another trait that increases your sustained damage and can also grant you Berserk Icon Berserk for a short amount of time.

Below are the best Middle Ring traits.

  1. Lifespeed Icon Lifespeed
  2. On My Way Icon On My Way
  3. Earthlink Icon Earthlink

The Middle and Inner rings are important for additional defensives. Feral Druids are very weak when they are put into stuns. Traits like Ablative Shielding Icon Ablative Shielding helps drastically. Lifespeed Icon Lifespeed and Earthlink Icon Earthlink give a minor boost to your damage output.

2.3.

Inner Ring

Below are the best Inner Ring traits.

  1. Longstrider Icon Longstrider
  2. Resounding Protection Icon Resounding Protection
  3. Ursoc's Endurance Icon Ursoc's Endurance

All of these traits give you additional ways of surviving. These are all passive, but are crucial to have.
