Remix: Legion Guide for Holy Paladin
Welcome to our Legion Remix Guide for Holy Paladin! Here we will cover everything you need to know about getting the most out of your Holy Paladin in the Patch 11.2.5 special feature, Legion: Remix.
This page is entirely dedicated to playing Holy Paladin in the new event. If you want to know more about Legion Remix in general, for example how it works and what rewards you can earn, you can check out our dedicated Legion Remix page!
Which Artifact Path to Pick as Holy Paladin?
In Legion Remix you will have to pick one of five paths in your Artifact Weapon
to spend your Infinite Power on. These five trees each have their own unique
active ability as well as multiple passives that increase your damage, healing, or
survivability. Below are a few recommendations depending on your playstyle,
but keep in mind that experimentation and playing around with the different themes
and passive is half the fun of this temporary game-mode. Picking your favorite choice
based on theme and visuals is perfectly valid!
In most cases, you will not find yourself needing to heal players much in Legion Remix. For that reason, you will likely want to opt for one of the higher DPS options: Storm or Fel. Storm will provide you with larger AoE dps while Fel provides a nice single-target increase. If you are playing solo and having a difficult time staying alive, you can opt for a more defensive Holy, Arcane, or Nature setup.
Below we will list generic choices you can make depending on the content you are doing:
For Solo Players: We recommend playing Storm or Fel.
For Duo-ing: When teaming up with one other player, having a combination of Fel and either Storm or Arcane works best. The player talenting into the Fel tree will apply Fel Touched to enemies, while the Arcane and Storm damage deals increased damage against Fel Touched enemies, something you cannot benefit from by yourself.
For Group Play: When doing 5-man dungeons, Storm is likely your best option due to its massive AoE potential, while Fel offers great single-target damage boosts for raid encounter. If you do find yourself wanting to play a healing focused build, opt for Holy.
Here's a quick overview of each of the trees:
- Nature: This tree offers strong damage procs, while the active ability
Call of the Forest shields you as well as dealing moderate AoE damage to targets in front of you. The passives in the tree provide good damage and survivability, and are particularly powerful when teaming up with other players.
- Fel: This is a purely damage-focused tree, allowing you to summon a Dreadlord with
Twisted Crusade that will summon a Rain of Fire to deal damage in an area. With the capstone you can re-use this ability for a massive amount of AoE burst around the Dreadlords location.
- Arcane: This tree mixes survivability and DPS, but only if you can stand still in combat. It's active ability,
Naran's Everdisc, deals massive AoE damage to targets in front of you, and you can benefit from this up to 3 times if you catch the orb as it returns to you.
- Storm: While strong for casters, Holy Paladin does not
benefit much from this tree outside of the pure damage it provides. Anytime you are in a heavy AoE
situation,
Tempest Wrath will allow you to output a very high amount of damage. Additionally, this tree will allow you to gain a ton of extra haste.
- Holy: While being a healing-focused tree, it will also provide quite a bit of value in survivability. Generally, you will not want to play this tree unless you are doing group content when healing is a necessity to make it through.
Best Legion Remix Leveling Talents for Holy Paladin
Below you will find our recommended leveling build and talent pickup order for your Holy Paladin in Legion Remix. For solo content and small group content, we will recommend a damage focused build, allowing you to get through content quickly. The designated raiding build will focus on maximizing your healing output, but you may want to swap to a damage build once healing is no longer necessary.
Best Legion Remix Leveling Build for Holy Paladin
Leveling, Open World and Questing Build
This build assumes you are spending a lot of time questing or just farming regular enemies in open world content.
Dungeon and Mythic+ Build
This build is intended for dungeons and Mythic+, sacrificng some healing
choices for more optimal damage and Shield of the Righteous focus.
Raid and Bossing Build
This build is intended for raid-content where you need to output healing. In the vent that healing isn't needed, you can instead opt to use the Dungeon and Mythic+ build which offers a bit higher damage output.
Leveling Rotation for Holy Paladin
Since Legion Remix is the perfect opportunity to level classes you haven't played before, we wanted to keep things as simple as possible for those learning the spec. Simply use the slider to select your level to learn a little bit more about how and when to use the abilities you just unlocked.
Move the slider below to make the guide update to your level!
When using our slider, note that some talents may appear sooner than you expect them to in the rotation. This is due to the differences in the recommended builds above, each taking talents at slightly different times, and sometimes entirely different talents.
When you first create your Paladin, you will only have
one ability available to you: Crusader Strike. At level 2, you will
unlock
Shield of the Righteous, and at level 3, you gain
Judgment.
At level 10, you can officially spec into Holy.
- Use
Holy Shock on cooldown.
- Use
Judgment on cooldown.
- Use
Crusader Strike on cooldown.
- If you are fighting multiple targets, you can choose to drop
Consecration.
Once you reach level 10, you will be able to spec Holy. If you are interested in an in-depth rotation breakdown, you can check out our rotation page. Otherwise, we have a summary of how to use some of the healing spells available to Holy Paladin:
- Cast
Holy Shock off cooldown.
- Cast
Hammer of Wrath when an enemy is below 20% Health to generate 1 Holy Power. Only do this if no one is in danger of dying.
- Cast
Divine Toll if your party is in need of quick burst healing or if you want to damage enemies.
- Cast
Aura Mastery if your group is taking large amounts of damage. Make sure you have
Devotion Aura selected!
- Cast

- Cast
Light of Dawn if you have 3 Holy Power and you have 3 or more allies in need of healing.
- Cast
Word of Glory if you have 3 Holy Power and your target is in need of healing.
