On this page, you will find Assassination Rogue specific information to deal with each boss in the Vault of the Incarnates raid.

This page assumes that you already understand most of the mechanics of each encounter. These can be found on the full raid guide, so what is contained here are details specifically tailored toward Assassination Rogue and how you can deal with each fight as best as possible.

The Rogue community has often worked together to compile information on which abilities can be mitigated or completely avoided through the use of Feint, Cloak of Shadows and Evasion. This compilation of information has been dubbed the "Book of Shadows", and includes information on most major dungeon and raid mechanics.

While not yet populated with any information, the community is planning on working together once more to help newcomers and experienced players alike. Anybody can do so by submitting information on these interactions through the form, and hopefully, together, we will be able to figure out how best to use our defensive toolkit in Vault of the Incarnates and Mythic+.

The build above is your generic single target talent tree with strong cooldowns and even better damage once the boss hits 35% HP. Each boss below will note if it uses this build or a different one and if you should tweak anything.

You can use

Cloak of Shadows to run through the fiery walls spawned by the Primal Flame.

Evasion works to avoid getting hit by the fixating Primal Flame adds.

You should use Cloak of Shadows before the tank destroys multiple pillars, as it allows you to take no damage from the explosions and also avoid receiving the subsequent Seismic Assault debuff.

As this is a 4-target fight, we highly recommend switching to an AoE build. This build is specifically designed for Primal Council and a 4-target fight.

As this fight is a permanent 4-target cleave fight, with bosses having to die within a few seconds of each other, you should prioritize reapplying your Garrote on the three highest health targets.

Cloak of Shadows should be used to remove the Conductive Mark and Primal Blizzard debuffs.

While there are adds on this fight, it is recommended to prioritize maximizing your single-target damage to the boss and switching to adds that are tanked to melee while maintaining your DoTs on both. The single-target build is still best.

You can use Vanish to clear the stacks of Sticky Webbing.

You can use Shadowstep to get back onto the platform if you get knocked or dragged off of it. With 2 charges, this allows you to not care at all about the Sticky Webbing mechanic, and you can just full focus on DPSing the boss in all phases.

If you are assigned to the platforms to deal with the adds, switching to an AoE build is recommended; otherwise, stick with the default single-target build.

Cloak of Shadows can be used to avoid getting knocked back by the dying Volatile Infuser adds or to remove the Conductive Mark debuff. You can also use Shadowstep to counter-act the knockback from the Volatile Infusers.

You should use the suggested single-target build here. It offers decent cleave damage through your DoTs and Serrated Bone Spike.

If there are overlapping Thunder Strike soaks, you can take both of these with Feint or Cloak of Shadows.

This fight is about constantly controlling spawning adds and dealing with them. As such, we recommend an AoE/cleave-focused build if you are assigned to dealing with those. Otherwise, stick with the suggested single-target build and kill the boss while others deal with the adds.

Cloak of Shadows can be used to reset the Diurna's Gaze debuff, or remove/prevent Frozen Shroud.

While there is some cleave during the intermissions, we recommend using the suggested build for boss and priority target damage.

Shadowstep can be used to quickly avoid taking damage from Tempest Wing.

While Cloak of Shadows is active, you are immune to both the damage and the knockback of all her abilities that knock you back.
