Assassination Rogue DPS Nerub-ar Palace Raid Guide — The War Within (Season 1)

• Use Cloak of Shadows to remove the DoT from Venomous Lash if your healers are struggling to heal through the damage.

• Simply send your cooldowns on cooldown to maximize boss damage. Other classes are better at dealing with the adds, so do not hold cooldowns for these.

• Keep your Sprint to feed the boss with Chunky Viscera after each of the phases. Few classes have higher mobility than you do.

• You can use Cloak of Shadows to remove Crimson Rain, or simply use Crimson Vial to help with healing.

• Use your DPS cooldowns on cooldown, and try to make sure you are positioned well to cleave the adds while hitting the Forgotten Harbinger in the Unseeming phase of the fight.

• Use Cloak of Shadows to get rid of the debuff placed by Phase Blades. Evasion might work on the initial hit as well (has to be tested).
• Use Feint every time Simulacrums are being broken.

• Keep in mind that while you are able to survive triggering multiple Simalcrums with Shattering Sweep thanks to Feint, the rest of the raid may not be so fortunate.

• It might be possible to immune-soak Web Reave, in which case Cloak of Shadows or even just Feint might be enough to live through the damage, provided you have a handful of buddies to do it with.

On Heroic difficulty, you can play Caustic Spatter on this boss, but on Mythic this will no longer be possible as the bosses will likely not be tanked close to one another.
