In this section, you will find information and guidance for each boss individually in Ny'alotha as a Arms Warrior. These are not complete encounter guides, but rather provide specific tips for any Arms Warrior on each boss.

Wrathion, the Black Emperor

We advise you to use the following essences against Wrathion, the Black Emperor.

3.1.

Tips

  • Heroic Leap Icon Heroic Leap is useful throughout the encounter, to take Incineration Icon Incineration out of the raid, avoid Gale Blast Icon Gale Blast, and move across the platform during Phase 2. Bounding Stride Icon Bounding Stride generally more useful than other talents due to the amount of mechanics.
  • On lower difficulties, Crackling Shard Icon Crackling Shard spawns typically will not survive long enough to stack Test of Might Icon Test of Might which favors talenting Warbreaker Icon Warbreaker in order to burst them down quickly. On Mythic difficulty, Cleave Icon Cleave can be used to build Test of Might before Bladestorm Icon Bladestorm if they survive long enough.
  • Bladestorm Icon Bladestorm will remove stacks of Creeping Madness Icon Creeping Madness on Mythic difficulty, though the cooldown should be always saved for Phase 2 shards.

The Prophet Skitra

We advise you to use the following essences against The Prophet Skitra.

5.1.

Tips

  • Heroic Leap Icon Heroic Leap is useful for both taking Shred Psyche Icon Shred Psyche out of the raid, and moving between mirror images during Phase 2.
  • Although you can hit multiple images, the damage is completely wasted. Prioritize the real target in order to push the phase faster. They typically die quickly, so save cooldowns for Phase 1.

6.

Dark Inquisitor Xanesh

We advise you to use the following essences against Dark Inquisitor Xanesh.

6.1.

Tips

  • Heroic Leap Icon Heroic Leap is useful for moving between particularly bad Torment Icon Torment void zones. Howevever, Anguish Icon Anguish does not interrupt Second Wind Icon Second Wind healing, making it a very strong talent choice.
  • Ranged players will handle the Void Orb Icon Void Orb on lower difficulties, but melee will need to help on Mythic. The mechanic is easiest if you position yourself to let the ball hit you, rather than trying to move into it, as it will always redirect in the direction your character is facing.

The Hivemind

We advise you to use the following essences against The Hivemind.

7.1.

Tips

  • There are several options for damage in the encounter for prioritizing either boss or add damage. Warbreaker Icon Warbreaker and Cleave Icon Cleave are both strong multitarget choices depending on how quickly adds die, but Collateral Damage Icon Collateral Damage is far better for prioritizing bosses when the two are stacked.

8.

Shad'har the Insatiable

We advise you to use the following essences against Shad'har the Insatiable.

8.1.

Tips

  • Use Heroic Leap Icon Heroic Leap and Charge Icon Charge to quickly move to the Living Miasma Icon Living Miasma if focused, thereby allowing it to explode far away from the raid.
  • There are constant sources of damage throughout the encounter which stop Second Wind Icon Second Wind healing.
  • Save cooldowns for the Execute phase, in order to burn through Frenzy Icon Frenzy.

9.

Drest'agath

We advise you to use the following essences against Drest'agath.

9.1.

Tips

  • The is a considerable amount of movement between targets, and Tentacle of Drestagath cannot be targeted with Charge Icon Charge, making Bounding Stride Icon Bounding Stride a strong talent choice. Rank 3 Ripple in Space Icon Ripple in Space minor can be a surprisingly useful option.
  • Although there are multiple targets, there is not much actual cleave throughout the encounter. Collateral Damage Icon Collateral Damage is a very strong option if two ever happen to spawn next to one another.
  • The boss itself heals all damage taken through Aberrant Regeneration Icon Aberrant Regeneration and cannot be effectively damaged unless the player is debuffed by Void Infused Ichor Icon Void Infused Ichor by picking up black puddles left behind by tentacle deaths.

Vexiona

We advise you to use the following essences against Vexiona.

10.1.

Tips

  • Warbreaker Icon Warbreaker and Cleave Icon Cleave are both strong options for Cultist damage, depending on how long they survive in your group.

Ra-den the Despoiled

We advise you to use the following essences against Ra-den the Despoiled.

11.1.

Tips

  • There is frequently a second target on Heroic difficulty, which makes Collateral Damage Icon Collateral Damage a very strong option. On Mythic difficulty a third add is a also present, which could make Cleave Icon Cleave strong, depending on how long they survive.
  • Use Heroic Leap Icon Heroic Leap to quickly break Charged Bonds Icon Charged Bonds and avoid Void Eruption Icon Void Eruption.

Il'gynoth, Corruption Reborn

We advise you to use the following essences against Il'gynoth, Corruption Reborn.

12.1.

Tips

  • Storm Bolt Icon Storm Bolt is useful for stunning Mind Controlled players, though Intimidating Shout Icon Intimidating Shout will typically cover the need without changing talents.
  • The fight is largely single target, though Blood of Ny'alotha periodically need to be killed, and players will need to be damaged down to 30% to break out of Mind Control.

Carapace of N'Zoth

We advise you to use the following essences against Carapace of N'Zoth.

13.1.

Tips

  • Both Warbreaker Icon Warbreaker and Cleave Icon Cleave can be strong against Adaptive Antigen Icon Adaptive Antigen and Nightmare Antibody Icon Nightmare Antibody spawns in Phase 1 and 3, depending on how long they survive.
  • There is a good amount of movement throughout the encounter when moving between targets, which favors Bounding Stride Icon Bounding Stride.

N'Zoth the Corruptor

We advise you to use the following essences against N'Zoth the Corruptor.

14.1.

Tips

  • Although there is a high amount of incoming damage throughout the encounter, Bounding Stride Icon Bounding Stride is very useful for navigating tentacle spawns and Paranoia Icon Paranoia debuffs.
  • During Psychus phases, save cooldowns for two or three stacks of Synaptic Shock Icon Synaptic Shock in order to maximize burst.
  • While you can occasionally get three targets next to one another, you will most often only have two, making Collateral Damage Icon Collateral Damage a very strong talent choice.
