Tips
Heroic Leap is useful throughout the encounter, to take
Incineration out of the raid, avoid
Gale Blast, and move across the platform during Phase 2.
Bounding Stride generally more useful than other talents due to the amount of mechanics.
- On lower difficulties,
Crackling Shard spawns typically will not survive long enough to stack
Test of Might which favors talenting
Warbreaker in order to burst them down quickly. On Mythic difficulty,
Cleave can be used to build Test of Might before
Bladestorm if they survive long enough.
Bladestorm will remove stacks of
Creeping Madness on Mythic difficulty, though the cooldown should be always saved for Phase 2 shards.
- More tips will be added as Mythic difficulty unlocks and strategies are developed.
For more information, please refer to our Wrathion, the Black Emperor guide.

Black Wings away from ranged players.
Heroic Leap away from the raid to drop
Devour Magic in a convenient location and to reach safe locations during
Stygian Annihilation.
Obsidian Skin reflects 100% of damage done, making it extremely easy to kill yourself, especially when using
Memory of Lucid Dreams during Execute or
Infinite Stars.
- More tips will be added as Mythic difficulty unlocks and strategies are developed.

Tips
Heroic Leap is useful for both taking
Shred Psyche out of the raid, and moving between mirror images during Phase 2.
- Although you can hit multiple images, the damage is completely wasted. Prioritize the real target in order to push the phase faster. They typically die quickly, so save cooldowns for Phase 1.

Tips

Torment void zones. Howevever,
Anguish does not interrupt
Second Wind healing, making it a very strong talent choice.
- Ranged players will handle the
Void Orb on lower difficulties, but melee will need to help on Mythic. The mechanic is easiest if you position yourself to let the ball hit you, rather than trying to move into it, as it will always redirect in the direction your character is facing.
- More tips will be added as Mythic difficulty unlocks and strategies are developed.
