Which Artifact Path to Follow as Demonology Warlock
This event features Artifact Weapons where to spend Infinite Power
on 5 different paths. Each one of those will feature an active ability,
alongside multiple passive enhancing damage, defenses and healing. Listed
below are some recommendations, based on playstyle, but it is worth reminding
that this is a fun event where experimentation is encouraged, and personal
preference does matter.
To begin with, a quick overview of each tree:
- Nature: tree centered around
damage procs, survivability, cooldown reduction and increased resource
generation. The active ability
Call of the Forest provides a shield as well as giving bonus to casting speed.
- Fel: tree that focus on
debuff application and damage output, with multiple Rains of Fire
through Dreadlord
Twisted Crusade active ability.
- Arcane: tree that offers
both survivability and damage tied to standing
still.
Naran's Everdisc active ability deals high AoE damage and can be repeated multiple times when catching the orb back.
- Storm: main appeal comes
from the ability to cast while moving. Its active
ability
Tempest Wrath deals damage in a circle around you, increasing for each target hit. Passives offer Haste bonuses
- Holy: tree focused around healing and sustain.
As Warlock are inherently tanky during leveling being a pet class, Storm is the main recommendation, as it lessen the mobility burden. A more thematically appropriate alternative for group play can be Fel with the caveat that the debuff Fel Touched works on allies only.

Leveling Rotation for Demonology Warlock
Legion Remix offers a fun opportunity to try new classes and specialisation, and keeping things simple allows for a smoother introduction to all these new elements. Use the slider to select your level and how to use the new spells and abilities unlocked at any given point.
Move the slider below to make the guide update to your level!
Starting at Level 1, you only
have one main attack ability: Shadow Bolt.
- Level 2 — Cast
Corruption to tag and soften up multiple enemies whenever spamming a few shadowbolts will not kill them quicker.
- Level 45 — Cast
Summon Demonic Tyrant with at least
Call Dreadstalkers and 2 sets of Wild Imps to get the most out of its extension.
- Level 55 — Cast
Summon Vilefiend on cooldown, making sure to extend every other cast with Tyrant.
- Level 31 — Use
Power Siphon on cooldown when having at least 2 Wild Imps.
- Level 27 — Use
Demonic Strength on cooldown.
- Level 13 — cast
Call Dreadstalkers on cooldown, regardless of the number of targets.
- Level 1 —
Hand of Gul'dan is the first shard spender, and the only one without cooldown. Cast it whenever you have no other spenders and you have 5 shards.
- Level 11 —
Demonbolt is unlocked, use it whenever a Demonic Core proc happens.
- Level 21 —
Implosion should be used whenever there are 3 or more targets stacked.
Pet Choice for Demonology Warlock Leveling
Summon Imp is your first available demon. This
pet is not particularly useful for leveling, but you have no choice for the
early levels.
If you are leveling alone, Summon Voidwalker
can be a helpful choice while leveling up, as it takes a lot of the pressure
off you. Avoiding casting pushback can also increase leveling speed.
Summon Felguard is the default choice for the
vast majority of content, leveling included, as demonology, due to a
combination of hard Crowd Control, Damage, Cleave, and tanking potential.
