Elemental Shaman DPS Manaforge Omega Raid Guide — The War Within (11.1.7)
On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Elemental Shaman for each boss of the following raid: Manaforge Omega. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — The War Within (11.1.7).
Introduction
This page assumes that you already understand most of the mechanics of each encounter. These can be found on the full raid guide, so what is contained here are details specifically tailored toward Elemental Shaman and how you can deal with each fight as best as possible.
All recommendations are progression-based tips and will not necessarily be the best for an overall DPS ranking.
We recommend Farseer for every encounter in this raid, as its single-target
and priority target damage is significantly ahead.
Note that these builds assume you do not yet have Shaman Farseer 11.2 Class Set 2pc
or
Shaman Farseer 11.2 Class Set 4pc. If you have
Shaman Farseer 11.2 Class Set 2pc
you should get
Latent Wisdom instead of
Ancient Fellowship (hero talent).
Once you have
Shaman Farseer 11.2 Class Set 4pc you should systematically pick
Liquid Magma Totem instead of
Primal Elementalist.
We will not talk about every case use for Gust of Wind. Whenever you need
to get somewhere (or simply elsewhere) fast, it is a good button to use. Note that
it is extra effective against knockback abilities, as it entirely negates their momentum.
For every boss, remember that Earth Shield,
Healing Stream Totem and
Healing Surge are good filler gcds to help yourself and your raid stay alive,
especially when you cannot deal useful damage at the time.

Tips for Plexus Sentinel for Elemental Shaman
This is one of several bosses in the raid where you get to use your
Extra Action Button to active a Reshii Wraps mechanic. Use this
macro to bind that ability.
- /click ExtraActionButton1
When using your Reshii Wraps to phase through the wall be sure to have
your character facing the direction you want to go, not your camera.
Damage
- You probably want to delay your second
Ascendance to nuke down the shield from
Protocol: Purge.
- Try to nuke down Volatile Manifestation as soon as possible.
- Try to keep
Spiritwalker's Grace for
Manifest Matrices, though it can also be a nice additional speed boost for Phase 2.
Defensives
Astral Shift should be kept for when you are targeted by
Eradicating Salvo.
Obliteration Arcanocannon should not be threatening enough to require a defensive.
- If an
Energy Overload goes off you should use
Stone Bulwark Totem and healing consumables.
- It might be possible to survive the wall if using a combination of
Astral Shift,
Earth Elemental and
Stone Bulwark Totem if your cloak ability is on cooldown.
Utility
Wind Rush Totem is a fantastic tool in Phase 2 to help everyone get to the boss as quickly and safely as possible. Do not forget that you can recast it via
Totemic Projection and get a second one with
Totemic Recall.

Tips for Loom'ithar for Elemental Shaman
Damage
- Make sure you will have
Ascendance available for the damage phase from
Unbound Rage when Phase 2 begins.
Spiritwalker's Grace is in high demand here, but should be most useful when targeted by
Infusion Tether. It is also nice to help give others more room during
Arcane Outrage.
Defensives
Astral Shift can either be used to help mitigate
Writhing Wave and
Arcane Outrage or kept for
Infusion Tether.
- If you are assigned to soak an Infusion Pylon you should use
Stone Bulwark Totem and be ready to use a healing consumable when reaching high stacks of
Hyper Infusion Do not hesitate to use healing gcds on yourself.
Utility
Wind Rush Totem is best used to help people break their
Infusion Tether, or alternatively to help people spread for
Arcane Outrage.
Best Talents
Note that this build assumes you do not yet have Shaman Farseer 11.2 Class Set 2pc
or
Shaman Farseer 11.2 Class Set 4pc. If you have

If you have
Shaman Farseer 11.2 Class Set 4pc, you should pick
Liquid Magma Totem
instead of
Primal Elementalist. Depending on your raid dps, it may be
better to use
First Ascendant in order to have
Ascendance
for
Unbound Rage.

Tips for Soulbinder Naazindhri for Elemental Shaman
Damage
- Unbound adds appear every 30 seconds, making it a great timing for
Liquid Magma Totem and
Primordial Wave.
- The main adds spawn at 2:00 and 4:30, meaning you should use
First Ascendant and hold your third use a little. Have
Stormkeeper and
Ascendance prepared for when the adds spawn.
Gust of Wind can counter
Arcane Expulsion.
Spiritwalker's Grace is particularly nice when targeted by
Soulfray Annihilation or to perfectly position
Soulfire Convergence.
Defensives
Astral Shift is perfect to mitigate damage from
Arcane Expulsion.
Stone Bulwark Totem works nicely to mitigate damage from
Voidblade Ambush.
- Interrupting
Void Burst will help mitigate all the add damage on yourself thanks to
Seasoned Winds.
Utility
Capacitor Totem with
Guardian's Cudgel will help lock down adds.
Wind Rush Totem is best used to help players position themselves to break the Binding Chambers.

If you have
Shaman Farseer 11.2 Class Set 4pc, you should pick
Liquid Magma Totem
instead of
Primal Elementalist. Due to the add timing on the fight,
you almost certainly want to use
First Ascendant here.

Tips for Forgeweaver Araz for Elemental Shaman
Damage
- Use
Liquid Magma Totem and
Primordial Wave against Arcane Manifestations and Void Manifestations.
- After the intermission ends the boss will go into
Mana Splinter phase where he takes double damage. This only lasts for 12 seconds so be sure to have
Ascendance and
Stormkeeper prepared to make the most of this window. This should occur around 3:30 and 6:30, so do not use your second Ascendance too early!
Spiritwalker's Grace is best used to keep doing damage while moving with
Astral Harvest (Phase 1) and to deal with
Dark Singularity (Phase 2).
Defensives
Astral Shift is best used for soaking
Arcane Obliteration.
Stone Bulwark Totem can help mitigate the damage from
Dark Singularity.
Utility
- Arcane Manifestation and Void Manifestation orbs can and should be stunned.
Wind Rush Totem is helpful to counter the pull from
Dark Singularity.
Best Talents

Tips for The Soul Hunters for Elemental Shaman
Damage
- Try to use
Liquid Magma Totem when all three bosses are stacked.
Spiritwalker's Grace's best use is easily soaking
Encroaching Oblivion when affected by
Devourer's Ire.
Defensives
Astral Shift is best used against
The Hunt or if you have several stacks of
Dark Residue.
Stone Bulwark Totem and healing consumables are best used to soak Stellar Fragments from
Collapsing Star.
Utility
Wind Rush Totem is best used against
Collapsing Star.
- In Mythic Difficulty,
Thunderous Paws can remove the slow from
Sigil of Chains. Make sure not to use
Ghost Wolf too much to keep this effect off cooldown!
Wind Rush Totem with
Jet Stream works but only on yourself!
Best Talents

if you do you should pick
Latent Wisdom instead of

Damage
Spiritwalker's Grace is best used for spreading during
Null Explosion and to place
Crystalline Shockwave.
Defensives
Astral Shift is best used against
Crystalline Shockwave.
Stone Bulwark Totem can be used against
Null Consumption or
Shattershell, but in Mythic is best used to mitigate
Crystal Lacerations.
Utility

Null Explosion.

Tips for Nexus-King Salhadaar for Elemental Shaman
This is one of several bosses in the raid where you get to use your
Extra Action Button to active a Reshii Wraps mechanic. Use this
macro to bind that ability.
- /click ExtraActionButton1
Damage
- Focus the Manaforged Titan during the add phase.
- While both bosses are active be sure to focus Voidwing and cleave onto the boss.
- Shortly after you finish the platforms you will jump into the
second intermission where Voidwing will take double damage from
King's Hunger. Be sure to have
Storm Elemental,
Ascendance and
Stormkeeper available for this damage amp.
- There is a lot you want
Spiritwalker's Grace here, most importantly
Behead,
Nexus Beams, and
Starkiller Swings in the final phase, though you may just want to press it whenever it feels needed to have more uptime on it. Remember that for punctual movement,
Gust of Wind is preferred.
Defensives
Astral Shift should be used whenever you are targeted by
Behead or
Reap, and for
Twilight Scar in the final phase.
Stone Bulwark Totem should be used to back up
Astral Shift if it is not available, or you can feel free to drop it as a movement cooldown whenever healing the raid starts becoming problematic, especially during the final phase.
- Interrupting
Netherblast from Nexus Princes during the add phase is especially nice for us due to
Seasoned Winds and everything doing Shadow damage.
Utility
Wind Rush Totem is best used to assist with
Behead and especially
Twilight Spikes in the final phase.
Best Talents
Note that this build assumes you do not yet have Shaman Farseer 11.2 Class Set 2pc,
if you do you should pick
Latent Wisdom instead of
Ancient Fellowship (hero talent).

Tips for Dimensius for Elemental Shaman
This boss was not testable on PTR, we cannot give educated advice until we get time to test the boss on live servers.
Damage
- Be careful with your
Ascendance timings, as depending on your raid DPS, you may not have it available at the start of Phase 3 where it is most important. This entirely depends on your overall raid dps.
- You can cleave from one Living Mass in front of the boss through
Dimensius to the other Living Mass on the other side with
Chain Lightning and notably the Chain Lightning from your ancestors, which is especially good because the latter only hit 3 targets anyway. Note that Chain Lightnings do not bounce from or two the Living Mass adds that are farther from the boss.
- In phase 1, use
Spiritwalker's Grace and
Gust of Wind to counter knockback from
Massive Smash and to position
Dark Matter pools (Heroic).
- In Phase 2, use
Spiritwalker's Grace as you first move to an edge to avoid the one-shot from
Extinction, this will carry over to the "wind" effect from
Gamma Burst allowing you to maintain full DPS throughout. Use
Gust of Wind only if you're falling behind.
- In Phase 3, make sure you have all your cooldowns available for the damage
amplification at the start of the phase. Be careful not to use
Storm Elemental too early when falling to the platform as it may not actually work correctl. Use
Spiritwalker's Grace freely to keep moving around. Be VERY careful with
Gust of Wind not to land into the boss or next to a
Black Hole. Note that the Black Hole is lethal if you get NEAR them, you die before touching the actual animation.
Defensives
- In Phase 1, use
Astral Shift when soaking
Antimatter spheres and drop
Stone Bulwark Totem while moving to position
Dark Matter (Heroic).
- In Phase 2, use
Astral Shift to reduce the damage from
Gamma Burst. Do not hesitate to drop a
Stone Bulwark Totem to mitigate it further if it feels helpful.
- In Phase 3, use
Astral Shift when hiding from
Devourin a planet's
Gravity Well, you can also use
Stone Bulwark Totem there. If you are low before or after a
Supernova explosion, make sure to use healing consumables.
Utility
- At the very end of Phase 1 when the boss pulls you in, you have 2 GCDs to refresh
Earth Shield on yourself and another target. At the end of the first Phase 2 platform, you have around 8 GCDs to do the same and spam Healing Surge to help top up the raid. At the end of the second Phase 2 platform, you have 2-3 GCDs to refresh Earth Shield.
- In Phase 2, use
Wind Rush Totem to help the raid move around either to avoid
Extinction or preferably to help run against the "wind" from
Gamma Burst.
- In Phase 3, use
Wind Rush Totem to help the raid run away from
Supernovas.
Best Talents

We highly suggest using some Addon or WeakAura to track the estimated time to
die of your target/boss target.
Method
Raid Tools has this as an option if you are already using this addon.
By tracking time to die, if you know that you can only fit one more cycle of
your cooldowns in before the boss dies, you can choose to hold these cooldowns
to better line up with Bloodlust, your Potion, or even your other
cooldowns, trying to look for opportunities to stack all of them.
Changelog
- 20 Aug. 2025: Added Dimensius tips. Clarified you should use Latent Wisdom once you have the new 2pc, not 4p.
- 11 Aug. 2025: Guide added.
