Which Artifact Path to Pick as Subtlety Rogue?

In Legion Remix you will have to pick one of five paths in your Artifact Weapon to spend your Infinite Power Icon Infinite Power on. These five trees each have their own unique active ability as well as multiple passives that increase your stats, damage, healing, or survivability. Below are a few recommendations depending on your playstyle, but keep in mind that experimentation and playing around with the different themes and passive is half the fun of this temporary game-mode. Picking your favorite choice based on theme and visuals is a perfectly valid way to play as well!

We recommend playing with either the Arcane or Nature tree for starters, due to their kit being a mix of defenses and offenses. Its possible its worth to swap to Storm or Fel for raw DPS when teaming up with other players, but a they seem to provide a lot of haste which Subtlety typically dislikes so it remains to be seen whats the strongest.

Here's a quick overview of each of the trees:

  • Nature: This tree offers strong damage procs, while the active ability Call of the Forest Icon Call of the Forest shields you as well as dealing moderate AoE damage to targets in front of you. The passives in the tree provide good damage, survivability and some cooldown reduction, and are particularly powerful when teaming up with other players.
  • Fel: This is a purely damage-focused tree, allowing you to summon a Dreadlord with Twisted Crusade Icon Twisted Crusade that will summon a Rain of Fire to deal damage in an area. With the capstone you can re-use this ability for a massive amount of AoE burst around the Dreadlords location.
  • Arcane: This tree mixes survivability and DPS, but only if you can stand still in combat. It's active ability, Naran's Everdisc Icon Naran's Everdisc, deals massive AoE damage to targets in front of you, and you can benefit from this up to 3 times if you catch the orb as it returns to you.
  • Storm: The likely go-to choice for any caster due to the passive ability of being able to cast while moving, this tree is still quite useful for Subtlety Rogue. The active ability Tempest Wrath Icon Tempest Wrath deals damage in a circle around you, and each target hit will increase the damage further. Perfect for massive pulls that you tank with Evasion Icon Evasion. With more points in the tree this also grants massive amounts of haste, which is unfortunate for a spec like Subtlety which does not benefit a lot from it.
  • Holy: This tree is a bit more healing-oriented, and can be surprisingly useful in early Heroic World Tier progression due to our lackluster self-healing and survivability. It's active ability Vindicator's Judgment Icon Vindicator's Judgment will deal massive AoE damage and healing, while its passives will provide regular procs of healing to yourself or party members if you team up with other players
