Restoration Druid Healing Sanctum of Domination Raid Guide — Dragonflight 10.2.5
On this page, you will find tips, tricks, and strategies tailored to your Restoration Druid for each boss of the following raid: Sanctum of Domination. All our content is updated for World of Warcraft — Dragonflight 10.2.5.
Introduction
On this page, you will find Restoration-Druid-specific information to deal with each boss in the Sanctum of Domination raid.
This page assumes that you already understand most of the mechanics of each encounter. These can be found on the full raid guide, so what is contained here are details specifically tailored toward Restoration Druid and what you can do to deal with each fight as best as possible.
During the Dragonflight Pre-Patch, Castle Nathria, Sanctum of Domination, and Sepulcher of the First Ones will be simultaneously featured as Fated Raids. During this time encounters within each specific raid will include an additional mechanic and items will drop at increased item levels. If you would like to learn more general information about the Fated Raids system as a whole, please see our overview below. Otherwise, continue to use this page for specialization-specific tips.
Talent Cheatsheet
We will provide the most commonly used talent build for all bosses. There are
some small changes you can make for certain bosses to grab utility spells, for
example swapping
Wild Charge for
Tiger Dash, but your core healing
talents should always remain the same. The same goes for your healing talents in
the class tree, with very few exceptions and those only touching defensive, movement
or damage talents.
You can easily import the talent tree below into the game with the following string:
- BkGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAQkkoUSSSIKQCAtIJAAAAAAAAAAAAAKChgDgAChkEsgASaJAAAAAAICA
The Tarragrue
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against The Tarragrue:
Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
There will be some form of constant raid damage on this encounter but it is
very light, which means your usual cooldowns will not work too well.
The only players in the danger of dying will be those soaking
Remnant: Soulforge Heat.
If you are using custom raid frames, make sure you are tracking the following debuffs:
Unshakeable Dread — Spell ID 347286. Players with this debuff
are feared. Make sure you dispel them instantly. Prioritize melee players since
they are more likely to run into another fear.
Remnant: Soulforge Heat — Spell ID 352392; stackable debuff. Make
sure you track both the debuff itself and the number of stacks.
Grasp of Death — Spell ID 347668. This debuff is an aura that
deals damage to the raid and lasts 40 seconds. You should filter it out since
it just clutters raid frames.
For more information, please refer to our The Tarragrue guide.
The Eye of the Jailer
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against The Eye of the Jailer:
Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
Boss has three phases: Phase 1 goes from 100% to 25%, Phase 2 are intermissions that happen every 25%, and Phase 3 is the final 25% burn.
The largest damage event will be
Titanic Death Gaze and
Deathlink.
Both of them are one time large hits on an entire raid. Since Druids are not that
good at dealing with such damage patterns, your best bet is to find a time when
these two mechanics happen close to each other and use cooldowns there.
The 25% is a hard burn. Make sure you have
Heart of the Wild ready and
do damage to the boss in the start of it. You can then unload all your cooldowns
together before the raid becomes unhealable.
If you are using custom raid frames, make sure you are tracking the following debuffs:
Hopeless Lethargy — Spell ID 350606. Players with this debuff
will inflict damage to those around them.
Slothful Corruption — Spell ID 350713. This is a magic debuff
that needs to be dispelled instantly since it not only does damage, but also
reduces the Haste and movement speed of affected players.
Spreading Misery — Spell ID 351827. This debuff will do very
heavy damage to players over the course of 5 seconds. Make sure you cast
Regrowth and
Swiftmend on them.
For more information, please refer to our The Eye of the Jailer guide.
The Nine
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against The Nine:
Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
The main dangerous mechanic of Phase 1 is
Song of Dissolution. Make
sure you do a
Flourish ramp early so that you can do another one later.
Use
Tranquility on the second Song since you will not have Flourish up
for it.
Periodically your raid will have to soak
Arthura's Crushing Gaze. This
is a one-time heavy hit. Try to ramp for a Gaze that overlaps with something else
since Druids are not well-suited to heal this type of damage when it comes alone.
If you are using custom raid frames, make sure you are tracking the following debuffs:
Daschla's Mighty Impact — Spell ID 350184. Upon expiration it will
deal high damage to the target. Make sure you keep whoever is targetted with this
debuff topped.
Brynja's Mournful Dirge — Spell ID 350109. This debuff will deal
moderate damage over 6 seconds to multiple players.
Fragments of Destiny — Spell ID 350542. This is a stacking debuff
that should not be very dangerous if handled properly. However, you should still
keep track of stacks just in case.
For more information, please refer to our The Nine guide.
Remnant of Ner'zhul
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Remnant of Ner'zhul:
Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
Malevolence will happen roughly every 40 seconds. It
will involve two raid-wide hits with a knockback. You should be ramping for this
mechanic as often as you can.
At 80%, 60%, and 30% Ner'zhul will do a large raid-wide AoE —
Shatter. You should try planning your ramps to have
bigger cooldowns in case this comes close to
Malevolence.
In general you should pace your Mana to have more toward the end of the fight as the damage the boss does progressively increases.
If you are using custom raid frames, make sure you are tracking the following debuffs:
Torment — Spell ID 350073. The number of these
debuffs will heavily increase as the fight goes on.
Rejuvenation is an
ideal HoT for Torment since they both last 15 seconds.
Malevolence — Spell ID 350469. This is a magic
debuff that will target 2 players at a time. Do not dispel it without communication
with your raid since it will knock everyone away from the targeted players.
Sorrowful Procession — Spell ID 350388. People carrying Orbs
of Torment will have this debuff. They will take periodic damage and become
slowed while doing it. Make sure they are healthy since it is much harder to
dodge mechanics with 50% movement speed reduction.
For more information, please refer to our Remnant of Ner'zhul guide.
Soulrender Dormazain
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Soulrender Dormazain:
Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
This encounter is very straightforward in terms of raid wide damage. Make sure
you ramp for Soulrender Dormazain using
Warmonger Shackles. There
will be 3 Shackles and breaking each one will cause raid-wide damage.
Players who break Warmonger Shackles will be afflicted by
Soul Manacles
until the end of the fight, taking damage and being unable to interact with Shackles
again. Restoration Druids are very tanky so we suggest you take one of the first
chains yourself. As the fight progresses, there will be more debuffs on the raid
making raid healing harder. Make sure you pace your Mana accordingly.
If you are using custom raid frames, make sure you are tracking the following debuffs:
Brand of Torment — Spell ID 350647. This debuff will make players
apply Tormented to targets nearby. This debuff does not do damage on its
own but it is a good indication of when other players will start taking more
damage.
Tormented — Spell ID 353429. This is a
stackable debuff that comes from Brand of Torment mentioned above. Make
sure you spot heal players with this one since it can be quite dangerous, especially
for melee players that will not always be able to move away from getting more stacks.
Soul Manacles — Spell ID 354231. A permanent debuff some players
will get after breaking the chains.
For more information, please refer to our Soulrender Dormazain guide.
Painsmith Raznal
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Painsmith Raznal:
Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
Flameclasp Eruption will be the mechanic to ramp for. It will come in
4 raid-wide bursts of damage and continue through entire fight. There are no
mechanics that will increase raid damage taken as the fight goes on, so you can
safely pace your Mana by boss Health.
If you are using custom raid frames, make sure you are tracking the following debuffs:
Shadowsteel Chains — Spell ID 355506. Players with this debuff
will be taking medium damage over 21 seconds. It is not too dangerous, but you
should still keep
Rejuvenation on them.
Blackened Armor — Spell ID 355786. This is a tank debuff. They
should swap each time they take one.
For more information, please refer to our Painsmith Raznal guide.
Guardian of the First Ones
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Guardian of the First Ones:
Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
The general damage pattern of this boss will have it cast
Purging Protocol, followed by
Unstable Energy ticking
on the raid, and then finishing off with a
Meltdown. The most
dangerous part is Meltdown's explosion potentially killing people that
are low on Health. Make sure you ramp for each of these.
There are only 3 cores so the sequence above will only happen 3 times. The general encounter duration should be around 5 minutes, so plan your cooldowns accordingly. In general, this is a very strict DPS check, so make sure you are not only doing damage on pull, but also weaving some in between raid-wide AoE parts of the fight.
For more information, please refer to our Guardian of the First Ones guide.
Fatescribe Roh-Kalo
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Fatescribe Roh-Kalo:
Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
You should ramp for
Invoke Destiny casts. It will apply a debuff to
the tank which will explode in 8 seconds. There is not a lot of raid damge on this
encounter, but it is very long. Make sure you do not overextend and run out of
Mana early.
If you are using custom raid frames, make sure you are tracking the following debuffs:
Invoke Destiny — Spell ID 351680. Tank debuff that explodes
for heavy raid damage.
Call of Eternity — Spell ID 350568. A debuff that will be applied
to 3 players; deals moderate damage over 8 seconds. Make sure you spot heal them,
as they will be the only players in the danger of dying.
For more information, please refer to our Fatescribe Roh-Kalo guide.
Kel'Thuzad
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Kel'Thuzad:
Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
This fight will deal increasingly more damage the more times your raid has to get Kel'Thuzad to 0% Health. Make sure you save the majority of your Mana for the later phases and try to use it only during cooldowns earlier.
Almost all the damage will come from Glacial Spikes dying. You should ramp according to their Health. Try to commit more cooldowns to multiple explosions and conserve if it is only one dying.
If you are using custom raid frames, make sure you are tracking the following debuffs:
Glacial Wrath — Spell ID 346459. Players with this debuff will
take heavy damage when it expires. Make sure they are full Health when it happens.
Frozen Binds — Spell ID 357298; magic debuff that
roots players in place. You can shift out of it to save some Mana.
For more information, please refer to our Kel'Thuzad guide.
Sylvanas Windrunner
Character Setup
We advise you to use the following Legendary against Sylvanas Windrunner:
Vision of Unending Growth.
Tips
The only dangerous raid damage will come from
Wailing Arrow
exploding on one of the tanks. Plan your ramps around this mechanic. It will happen
roughly every 35 seconds.
Barbed Arrow's stacking debuff (Spell ID 347807) will be moderately
dangerous if mishandled. Make sure you spot heal players that have higher stacks.
If you are using custom raid frames, make sure you are tracking the following debuffs:
Crushing Dread — Spell ID 351117; magic debuff that you will
have to dispel in Phase 2.
Shadow Dagger — Spell ID 347670. This debuff will deal heavy
damage over 9 seconds to multiple players at a time. Try to land
Wild Growth
and a few
Regrowths to keep people alive.
Domination Chains — Spell ID 349458. This is a fairly high damage
debuff, which can last quite long depending on your DPS.
Death Knives — Spell ID 358434. Extremely dangerous debuff in
Phase 3. Make sure you spot heal players with this debuff.
Banshee's Bane — Spell ID 353929. Usually a debuff that will
only be present on tanks. In case someone else picks it up, you will need to dispel
them during
Banshee's Fury cast.
For more information, please refer to our Sylvanas Windrunner guide.
