For Blood specifically, the following tips may prove useful.

• You can use Anti-Magic Shell to prevent the application of Variss' Aura of Decay. Use it before you go into the circle.
• Death's Advance prevents the knockback from infernals if you are too slow to move, but fast enough to notice you will get knocked off.
