Remix: Legion Guide for Elemental Shaman
Welcome to our Legion Remix Guide for Elemental Shaman! Here we will cover everything you need to know about getting the most out of your Elemental Shaman in the Patch 11.2.5 special feature, Legion: Remix.
This page is entirely dedicated to playing Elemental Shaman in the new event. If you want to know more about Legion Remix in general, for example how it works and what rewards you can earn, you can check out our dedicated Legion Remix page!
Which Artifact Path to Pick as Elemental Shaman?
In Legion Remix you will have to pick one of five paths in your Artifact Weapon
to spend your Infinite Power on. These five trees each have their own unique
active ability as well as multiple passives that increase your damage, healing, or
survivability. We highly recommend you experiment and do not just blindly follow "the meta"
use whatever is most enjoyable!
For Solo Players: Any tree is viable depending on preferences. Storm is an obvious choice for its theme and the ability to cast while moving permanently, but other trees such as Arcane or Nature may give you a better balance of damage and defenses, while Fel may do more raw DPS.
For Duo-ing: When teaming up with one other player, having a combination of Fel and either Storm or Arcane works best. The player talenting into the Fel tree will apply Fel Touched to enemies, while the Arcane and Storm damage deals increased damage against Fel Touched enemies, something you cannot benefit from by yourself.
For Group Play: When doing 5-man dungeons, Storm is likely your best option due to its massive AoE potential (and it's thematic!), while Fel offers great single-target damage boosts for raid encounter if you do not need the extra mobility.
Here's a quick overview of each of the trees:
- Nature: This tree offers strong damage procs, while the active ability
Call of the Forest shields you as well as dealing moderate AoE damage to targets in front of you. The passives in the tree provide good damage and survivability, and are particularly powerful when teaming up with other players.
- Fel: This is a purely damage-focused tree, allowing you to summon a Dreadlord with
Twisted Crusade that will summon a Rain of Fire to deal damage in an area. With the capstone you can re-use this ability for a massive amount of AoE burst around the Dreadlords location.
- Arcane: This tree mixes survivability and DPS, but only if you can stand still
in combat. Its active ability,
Naran's Everdisc, deals massive AoE damage to targets in front of you, and you can benefit from this up to 3 times if you catch the orb as it returns to you. It can be a bit awkward though.
- Storm: The likely go-to choice for most casters due to the passive ability of
being able to cast while moving. The active ability
Tempest Wrath deals damage in a circle around you, and each target hit will increase the damage further. With more points in the tree this also grants massive amounts of haste.
- Holy: This tree is a bit more healing-oriented. Its active ability
Vindicator's Judgment will deal massive AoE damage and healing, while its passives will provide regular procs of healing to yourself or party members if you team up with other players.

Optimizing talents on a contextual basis is the highly recommended method of setting up your build.
Best Legion Remix Leveling Talents for Elemental Shaman
Open World Talents for Elemental Shaman
This is a general build for Solo Open World Leveling but many things can be adapted in either tree,
the main notable picks are Guardian's Cudgel which is great for solo content
and
Refreshing Waters to sustain yourself.
Raid Talents for Elemental Shaman
This is the default build for all raid encounters. It is ahead of
Stormbringer builds in pure single-target. It can also be used
for particularly tough bosses on Heroic World Tier.
Be sure to make use of the 'Export Talents' button to import the best build directly into your game!
Dungeon and Mythic+ Talents Elemental Shaman
Note that Liquid Magma Totem over
Charged Conduit is a perfectly
valid alternative, it is better in some ways and worse in others.
We recommend beginners start with Earth Shock and only switch to
Elemental Blast once they have a better understanding of both dungeons
and the spec, as the latter version is stronger but it much less forgiving with
movement, casting, and Maelstrom management.
Be sure to make use of the 'Export Talents' button to import the best build directly into your game!
Many combinations are viable, this is only our preferred one at the moment.
The following talents are NEVER optional: Stormkeeper,
Primordial Fury,
Lightning Capacitor,
Echo Chamber,
Ascendance,
Mountains Will Fall,
Icefury,
Fusion of Elements.
Leveling Rotation for Elemental Shaman
Move the slider below to make the guide update to your level!

Remember to keep the following buffs up at all times:
Lightning Shield, mostly important after talenting
Lightning Conduit.
